If he could trust his D partner with the puck maybe he doesn't force that pass to a forward and instead goes for the simpler and sometimes smarter d to d pass.No. Because Petry is moving up with the puck looking to pass it to a forward. His defensive partner is behind and has nothing to do with Petry's decision or lack thereof.
