  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Are you actually serious?

He’s not a legit starter.

Monty is alright. But you may be right that it's the worst 1-2 punch that the Habs have had, because they don't have an NHL level goalie behind Monty, and also because when you look down the list of habs goaltending and the level of starters they have had in the past, it's a high bar.

With an NHL goaltending and coaching level, this team would be in the mix.
Depiste what Gorton said i don't think Gorton and KH want to be in the mix though. They probably want to avoid a situation like Detroit where despite UFA signings and vet acquisitions the team is still not a playoffs team and they draft low. All moves by KH indicate he wants the kids to lead the team to a near playoffs position before moving and it's not happening this year which is certainly not a huge surprise. If he wanted to be in the mix he would have Kept Kova, Allen and signed Monahan.

Primeau was so much better last year. He's really been poor this season.

Fowler coming soon. :)

at least the team is starting to show more of that 'until the last buzzer' mentality they had most of last year. They haven't given up like they were earlier in the year.

Well that might make sense. Still freaking boring to watch an AHL goalie like Primo sucking all the life from this team.

We are the worst defensive team in the league. Of course his numbers aren't going to be great. That doesn't mean he's not a decent starter.
Right.

We were stalwarts in the Price era.

Montembault is below league average in save percentage every year he’s started here.

It’s a bad take, take your L and move along.

The game has been effectively over since the Bruins took that 3-0 lead. Can't really draw any conclusions from what happened since. As soon as we got back within two goals it's been Bruins all over again. We simply haven't been competitive in this one.
The Bruins have like 3 shots since we scored the 3rd goal.
