Mother of God it scares me that you could actually be right about this. Considering that the WWE and Women's titles are just a giant company logo plastered onto an irregular pentagon shape I wouldn't put it past them to do a third one. It's practically a physical incarnation of all the laziness and complacency and self absorption within the company in 2013 to now.

watch them take it a step further with the smackdown belt n make the space behind the W blue

He thought he had the golden ticket with his son... The desperation is setting in now.

Universal Title and World Title. So stupid.

Agreed. At least rename the other one WWE Champion like it was always called prior to the unification. Universal Heavyweight Champion at least sounds more legitimate. For Raw's sake they're getting saddled with a brand new belt that has absolutely no prestige. They're gonna have to do a real job making it look good. At least when they brought back the "Big Gold Belt" the entire wrestling world knew what it was and could take it seriously.

Some "minor" fantasy booking for this Sunday afternoon - I'd have Reigns as the ringside enforcer for the Universal Title match at Summerslam. I'd have The Club win the tag titles off The New Day and then have The Club make a run-in in the title match, destroy Reigns, cost Rollins the match and The Club led by Balor walks out with the gold.

Id have a backstage segment of AJ meeting up with Gallows and Anderson as well, have AJ be pumped to see them and Gallows and Anderson start to void AJ out. Then at SS (the next duel brand show, since AJ won't see The Club much) have him meet up with Balor Club and further plant seeds of AJ vs Balor Club for Mania or w.e Then have AJ eliminate The Club from the Royal Rumble, Finn eliminates AJ. AJ is face again and can take on a heel Balor Club at Mania.

Not seeing the heel turn for Balor coming this quickly. Not after how hard (yet easy) it was to get him over on his first night. Gallows and Anderson don't get enough heat for it.

I say let Balor fight on his own and let the club build their way to the top of the pecking order. If you want to involve the club in any way I say you could use them employed by Steph McMahon to beat the living hell out of Balor backstage at random and interfere with his matches for a few weeks. Then the week of Summer Slam Foley grants Balor a handicap match against the club where if he beats them they are officially banned from the arena at Summer Slam. Balor wins with a little bit of help from Roman Reigns and then he loses clean to Rollins at Summer Slam.

I do not like that at all.

Yeah I imagined there would be a lot of disagreement with the way I would do it (which is fine) but I simply don't think a guy that has two matches and a week of Raw under his belt is ready to be named the inaugural champion of a new title in his first PPV. Lesnar had a Saturn V rocket shoved up his ass but even that took 5 months. And Sheamus I've ALWAYS believed was an accident. The only guy who got crowned faster than that was Hulk Hogan in about 2 and a half, maybe 3 weeks. Push the heck out of Balor but in my opinion Rollins has to at least look somewhat legitimate in winning the title. I can't stand non-legitimate heel champions. I'm of the longstanding belief that babyfaces can and SHOULD be beaten cleanly from time to time though it seldom happens.

In 2004 I was still a young fan only 2 years into watching wrestling and to this day I still never respected JBL's reign as champion because he won dirty or had divine intervention EVERY time for almost a year and this is despite the fact he was outstanding heel champion in retrospect. I am only so thankful I never watched HHH during the Evolution era.

Fans can get behind Balor if he takes the hard and beaten path of the underdog. Winning in sheer momentum and surprise only carries you so far. I look at past champions who won titles very quickly like Carlito, Sheamus, MNM and Santino Marella and ask myself, "What the hell did they ever amount to?"

Fans are already behind Balor. It's a different world than it was when Carlito came in.

I would rather see Rollins win and Balor go on the chase I think. I'm not 100%, but that's what I'm leaning to right now.

I think they're going to give Balor the 1st Universal Championship though.

Do you...
Do you know of the history between Balor and "the club" ?

I think MCG has it right

Balor is not your ordinary talent either

Like... using The Club to be employed by STEPHANIE to attack the guy the brand chose with their THIRD PICK at the draft would be absolutely asinine. Stephanie picked him, why in the world would she want The Club to attack him and why in the world would The Club even agree to be employed by Stephanie of all people to attack their boy?

The Club should walk out with the gold at Summerslam - Anderson and Gallows with the tag titles and Balor with the Universal title... and I love Rollins.

Anything to start to transition Rollins to *finally* be a face

Double turn. Let's go. In fact, in my fantasy booking scenario, it'd set in motion The Shield reunion.

Roman Reigns as the ringside enforcer, The Club runs down after a ref bump and destroys Reigns and Rollins giving Balor the victory. Suddenly, the Fall storyline ends up being Reigns and Rollins trying to put their differences aside to try and topple The Club but constantly failing. Finally, after a slow burn, Rollins completely flips to face and realizes they're missing a piece of the puzzle and have a one time Shield reunion on the dual-branded Survivor Series pay-per-view in a Shield vs. Club war.

The two headlining matches:

- WWE World Title match: AJ Styles vs. Bray Wyatt.

- Inter-promotional match: The Shield (Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns) vs. The Club (Universal champ Finn Balor, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows).
