NOW IS THE TIME FOR A REAL WARNING. Both threads have turned to non-stop bickering. There's disagreeing and there's looking to start an argument. Find the line or myself or one of the other mods will find it for you.

You guys can help too. Instead of responding, report posts so we can handle them.

I'm a little surprised that it's MITB but also I'm not. That could've been built up, and maybe still will be, as the 'dream match' at a bigger PPV. But I also think MITB at the very least is knocking on the door of making it the big 5 PPV's again. And frankly, I like it better than Survivor Series, especially since they don't really do it anymore, anyways.

Someone else said it but it seems they are trying to turn MITB into the 5th PPV like KOTR used to be.

Though to be honest it would be closer to 4th as Survior Series as lost its luster.

1. I'm not your bud.

2. If you don't get what I mean then I don't know what to say. World champion, first ever World + U.S. Champion, featured in 4-8 segments on Raw routinely and having the best matches and segments on the card pretty much every night.

Are you my bud? :)

Well, you're a Leafs fan.

But you don't refer to me as "bud" or "Seth Rollins avatar guy" since my username is right there for every post, so sure.

I'm not his bud because he didn't get to use the Kenny Omega gif in the series thread like he wanted to because my team finally pulled one out of their ass. lol

I still got to use it on the Habs board by prefacing it as saying it was the Pens intentions.

But now it's time to clean up this thread. :p:

I just realized that the Brand Extension starts 5 days before BattleGround.

How the hell are they going to pull that out of their ass?

Same way they've done the draft in the past when the brand extension was a thing and the draft was held before a PPV. They built up programs regularly and really hammered home how different things can be if so-and-so wins or this title goes to that show or one show having all the titles and whatnot.

The top program guys (Reigns/Rollins and Cena/Styles) will be on the same show anyways (Reigns/Rollins on Raw and Cena/Styles on Smackdown).

It would have been better if it were done before MITB, though. Then the MITB match also has the "which brand will the briefcase be on?" vibe.

Yeah I suppose.

Also, there's only like 4 or 5 RAW's between the start of the split and the first Supershow post-SummerSlam.

Just as people get used to it, it's gonna be all "Hey, here's the other guys again!"

Uh, I'm excited for split, I think it can be a really good thing, but I feel they are severely rushing it

Money in the Bank is already the 4th in my eyes as it's the only show other than the Royal Rumble to have a mechanical effect on the storyline. The winner of the big ladder match will get a briefcase, it's a big deal. It's gonna be twice as big from next year as they're going to have two ladder matches again.

Survivor Series can only be important if there was some reason for the 5v5 matches to be important every year. While they can always just write the story to build up to a big match there, there really needs to be a mechanical reason to win. Title shots don't work as there are too many people in the match, and I'm not sure what else you can present as an incentive for the wrestlers. Back in the day you always had prize money as the prize, but that doesn't work anymore. You could do some Raw vs Smackdown thing, but then you damage the losing brand a bit. I've no idea really, but I'm actually fine with how it is. Just let it be the traditional america day show that they have a big tag match on and treat it like any other second tier PPV.

They'd benefit from having guys like Cody, Damien and Barrett.

Depth at the bottom and in the middle of the roster isn't THAT great. It's very top heavy IMO.

How do you rush a draft? It's still over a month away anyways.... it could happen tomorrow and no one would mind.

They are rushing the brand extension itself.

There is more to it than the draft show

Fair enough.

To me, this is something fans have wanted for along time.

Let's get to it asap.

At least it's better to be top heavy than bottom heavy.

Depends on the individual. Some like bottom heavy more than top.

Oh we're talking about the rosters. Yeah, definitely better to be top-heavy than bottom in that regard.

AM I really in the minority for not wanting a brand extension?

I don't want to watch more than 2-3 hours of wrestling a week. Now if I want to see all my favourites, I'd need to watch two 2-3 hour shows in two days...

Saying you need to watch 5 hours of shows isn't correct. Just record it and skip past the bits you don't want to see. You'll be done in under an hour total for both shows.

What. Are you only watching Enzo and Cass? There is at least one good hour of RAW every week even with fast forwarding. Zero chance you get through both shows in under an hour.
