It's really telling the communities they move to to form their little super teams tho, isn't it? Safe, low crime, other variables. What do they have something against East St. Paul or Richfield or South Minneapolis or something? How dare he move
Suburbs are appealing to live in. More at 11.It's really telling the communities they move to to form their little super teams tho, isn't it? Safe, low crime, other variables. What do they have something against East St. Paul or Richfield or South Minneapolis or something?
You mean areas that don't really have hockey programs? Seems like it would be a wise decision to move to those locations to try to further your hockey career. They could also move to the Middle East. It's really telling the communities they move to to form their little super teams tho, isn't it? Safe, low crime, other variables. But diversity is our greatest strength, and we've got more of it than anywhere in the Cities proper. And believe it or not, there are still programs in the Cities proper. You mean areas that don't really have hockey programs? What more do you want us to say?I see no snarky replies to my last post. Good. Because I see a lot of hypocrisy from some people these days and really gets to me.
Back on the topic of high school hockey, I'd like to dig into some old sections if at all possible. Are there any sites online that would have old MN HS hockey sectional tournament brackets? I would love to dig in to some of them.
No it doesn't. It's pointing out hypocrisy is all it is doing.t comes across as kinda racist...
Hopefully this is allowed, but you could probably find them on the Mn high school hockey forums, they do brackets every year.No it doesn't. It's pointing out hypocrisy is all it is doing.
Seriously though, aside from buying old sectional programs which I'm sure are hard to find, are there any sites that have old section brackets?
Yes, it does. There's no hypocrisy. No it doesn't. It's pointing out hypocrisy is all it is doing.

I’m sorry old hockey programs are dying/have died. I’m sure the old Blockbuster CEO would like to still be in business too. The world evolves and some things get left behind.I see no snarky replies to my last post. Good. Because I see a lot of hypocrisy from some people these days and really gets to me.

You're free to that view. Just don't tell me that city programs and first ring suburb programs going away is "progress" or "evolving".I’m sorry old hockey programs are dying/have died. Dude, go back to 1950. Your views are outdated. You're free to that view. Just don't tell me that city programs and first ring suburb programs going away is "progress" or "evolving".
Wanting hockey to thrive in the Twin Cities urban center/first ring suburbs is "outdated"? Hmmm, sounds kinda racistDude, go back to 1950. Your views are outdated.
So, unless I'm missing some underlying point, I'm pretty sure the gist of what you're saying is that you want Richfield to be good again, and for Chanhassen to not have a hockey program? You're free to that view. Just don't tell me that city programs and first ring suburb programs going away is "progress" or "evolving".
Whatever. Your argument is about as strong as a paper tiger.Wanting hockey to thrive in the Twin Cities urban center/first ring suburbs is "outdated"? Hmmm, sounds kinda racist
If the people living there don't want to play, there's not much that can be done about it.Wanting hockey to thrive in the Twin Cities urban center/first ring suburbs is "outdated"? Hmmm, sounds kinda racist
I think he wants to remove those people and replace them with those that do, but I could be wrong, it’s kind of hard to follow. If the people living there don't want to play, there's not much that can be done about it.
You can send your kid to another high school. There’s certain things around that but it’s possible.Out of curiosity, does anyone know what options kids have if their high school isn't able to field a varsity team this year? My kids team has had dwindling numbers over the last few years, and currently have about 25 kids total for varsity and JV right now. Next year is looking worse. Are we stuck playing Jr Gold or can we try out for a different HS team that is close to us? I've tried to find info in the MSHSL handbook, but I'm not seeing much pertaining to an issue like this.
Is there a chance he would be able to still go to his same high school, but play for a different school if his HS doesn't have enough for a varsity team? Or would he need to be enrolled in the school that he is playing at?You can send your kid to another high school. There’s certain things around that but it’s possible.
Usually they have to be enlisted at the high school to play. I believe they are a few exceptions. Is there a chance he would be able to still go to his same high school, but play for a different school if his HS doesn't have enough for a varsity team? Or would he need to be enrolled in the school that he is playing at?
