As a Foxboro resident I can say I will never go to a Revs game under these conditions. As a soccer fan though I still do look forward to the Revs getting an intimate stadium regardless of location.

Our mayor keeps talking about how we "can't have anymore vehicles," which is the same bullshit we got fed with the casino before Wynn made all the parking free because people were pissed.

They'll lie and say this will all be about public transportation before they add thousands of parking spots at the last second.

"We're only going to have 70 parking spots to encourage public transportation" = soccer fans will park on residential streets in Charlestown, Somerville, and especially Everett.

People who aren't from around this area can't possibly imagine how bad traffic is. And that was true before the casino.

Bingo. They don't care about us. They really don't.

The parking space thing is insane.

Everett Stadium effort hits roadblock
What part of that article leads you to believe that the Economic Development Bill is close to dead?

Especially when the Governor wants it, and the legislature is coming back for a special formal session.

In other news, this is starting to be leaked out and hinted at by some USMNT insiders...

This part: The New England Revolution effort to build a soccer-specific stadium in Everett took a major hit at the end of July when state lawmakers failed to pass a wide-sweeping economic development bill at the end of formal session

Plus the fact that the Krafts have a 20+ year track record of announcing tentative plans for a new stadium, and not following up. And the fact that the site has environmental problems, very limited parking, and is not easily accessible on the T.

I've seen this movie many times before, and am certainly jaundiced because I think the Krafts have no intention of moving the team out of Gillette. So I'll believe this one when I see it.

Its gonna get passed. The corrupt Everett officials will push it through. And now that the Gov is on board, we're f***ed.

I think the bill gets passed.

I'm slightly less certain that the stadium provision is part of it.

But that's not the only hurdle the stadium project needs to clear. It's still far from a done deal, even if the bill gets passed.

Nobody wants this job. How embarrassing

Who would want to work for the clown show that is the USSF? There needs to be a wholesale, Stalin-like purge of the people who run it for someone to have any motivation to run this basket case of a national team. The people who run the USSF are unfit to serve in their current jobs and should be prevented from working there in the future, because they obviously don't value the sport. They just want to see the profit line go up and enrich themselves. The no good greedy bastards.

EDIT: Even with the positive that is the signing of Pochettino, I still think that the USSF will find a way to screw this up.

All kidding aside, I love MANU as well. They've given me some of my most memorable moments....

That Ginola strike...

Keane trying to square up on Shearer was hilarious....

Wonder Strike from Big Dunc

Eddie Howe's Black and White Army........Top 4 in the League this year AND 2025 FA Cup Winners. This is the Year. (In all fairness, I've been saying that for 40 years now. But THIS YEAR its finally gonna happen!)

Interesting match live on ABC, Valencia and Barcelona are 1-1 at halftime. During first half stoppage time, Barca cleared a ball off the line to keep it 1-nil, then proceeded to equalize via Lewandowski.

I have a friend who is a fellow regular at B.U. hockey games, known him for about fifteen years, and he is a Newcastle supporter, a legit one, he's been to St. James a handful of times(he works for a bank and travels overseas regularly), along with other EPL grounds.

I got sucked into supporting Newcastle back in the mid-80s. Peter Beardsley was, and still is, my all time favorite player. Just as I got emotionally invested, they sold Chris Waddle, sold Beardsley and sold Gazza and then we were shit and I was at a low....until Keegan took charge.

Beardsley came back, and we bought Andy Cole and those 2 proceeded to tear up the Premiership in our first season back up ('93-94) and we finished 3rd in our promotion year and qualified for Europe.....and I was at a high. They're still the greatest strike pairing I ever saw......

I saw my first, and only live Newcastle match the following year. Europa League match in Antwerp. We smashed Royal Antwerp 5-0 and Rob Lee scored a hat trick. (I was high).

The following year, we blew an 11 pt lead and finished second to MANU (I was low, but defiant)

But because this is Newcastle, and we are not allowed to have nice things, we sold Andy Cole......and I was furious. (low)
But then we signed Alan Shearer and smashed MANU 5-0. (high)
Then Keegan quit, Shearer destroyed his ankle and we accidentally sold Les Ferdinand. (low).
Then we beat Barcelona 3-0 in the Champions League. Tino Asprilla had a hat trick. (high)
Then we hired Ruud Gullit as manager and he tried to destroy the team and benched Shearer. (low)
Then Gullit was fired, we hired Sir Bobby, beat Sheffield Wednesday 8-0 in his first match as manager (Shearer scored 5 that game) and we advanced out of the Champion's League group stage for the first time. (high)
Then Sir Bobby was sacked, and we endured years of shit managers. (low)
Then Alan Pardew took us back to Europe and we made it to the Europa semi final (high).
But we didn't invest in the club, the club was sold to Mike Ashley and we were relegated on 2 separate occasions. (lowest of the lows)
Ashley sold the club, Eddie Howe was brought in as manager and there's hope.....to be continued.

This is not a club for the faint of heart......
