What a morning!

My Pompey returned to the Championship for the first time in 12 years, and earned a hard fought point against Leeds. Probably the toughest possible matchup. Make no mistake, Leeds was a class above, but the flight was there, and Pompey could've even won it with a 92nd minute go ahead penalty.

And this go ahead goal was exquisite:

And then of course the US Women won Gold!

Now hire Emma Hayes to coach men's team

I am only partly kidding. At some point in time a woman will get a men's team's job.

I feel like this is gonna happen, Mike.

It's actually gonna happen.

WE DONT NEED ANYMORE TRAFFIC.

😭

"We're only going to have 70 parking spots to encourage public transportation" = soccer fans will park on residential streets in Charlestown, Somerville, and especially Everett.

People who aren't from around this area can't possibly imagine how bad traffic is. And that was true before the casino.

Let's see what the full plan entails before we break out the torches and pitchforks.

I mean, they've released a plan, so I'm responding to that.

But if they add more parking it'll be bad, too. There's no good solution because it's a horrific spot for a stadium for people who actually live around there. No one seems to give a shit about that, though.

Everett is a densely densely populated city. It's not designed to handle a casino, let alone a casino and a giant stadium.

The team and/or Wynn have yet to release a full, comprehensive plan.

We've basically just seen a really poor rendering of a stadium in that location.

There has to be more to it. And a large portion of that plan would probably revolve around the question of how you move 25,000 people in and out of the area efficiently.

Again... there are probably a dozen hurdles that have to be cleared before shovels hit dirt, and this is like hurdle #2 or #3.

As a Foxboro resident I can say I will never go to a Revs game under these conditions. As a soccer fan though I still do look forward to the Revs getting an intimate stadium regardless of location.
