OT: MLB Thread XXIX: Marcus Stroman is a.....Met???

Really not much left to say. This team has totally morphed into the team we all thought it could be at beginning of the year. Exciting times here in Metland as we for first time in 3 years will have important baseball games to look forward too for the next two months....feel great!

Mets have 3 aces and 2 solid #3 guys. Looks like their rotation is built for a long playoff run.

On a totally unrelated note....Hard Knocks is starting now on HBO for any of you NFL junkies like me who love that show.. Should be a good one with Gruden. We'll see if he can even come close to how good Rex and the Jets Hard Knocks was back in 2010...catch y'all later.

Couldn't agree more with you. One would have to think our opposition is not looking forward anymore to playing us and having to deal with either a deGrom, Noah, Stroman, Wheeler or Matz on any given day....good times baby...good times.
 


yeah they are betting bad teams but in the 1st half they weren't beating the bad teams either

It's where the ball lands not where it bounces haha. Hill's ball couldn't bounce because it landed amongst the people casually watching the game on a rooftop.

I’m an a die hard Braves fan and have to put this somewhere.

Ronald Acuña has 45 and change (tonight) games left in the season. He’s batted primarily (I would say 90% at least) out of the leadoff spot.

He isn’t 12 HRs, 28 RBIs and 14 SB away from going 40-40 with 100 RBI. Pretty damn impressive.

He'd be a sweet pickup for the Mets during our playoff push. Not sure what the waiver rankings are but Brodie needs to get this done. I wanted Assdrubal Cabrera but damn Nats got him. Panik would be a nice consolation prize.
