I think that was more Giants/Dodgers rivalry than anything else.
Yeah, I still didn't like it though. I hate anyone who acts butthurt to opposition after giving up a HR. It screams sore loser. Sam Dyson and Brian McCann are probably the worst.

I didn't like CC's antics either with the whole bunting thing.

They'll be good next season.

Castillo/Bauer/ Gray is a very good 1-2-3.

And the middle of their lineup is above average. Senzel, Votto, and Suarez is a nice combo to have. Not sure Dietrich can repeat this next season and they'll want a bounce back from Peraza, but there is something there. Potential WC team next year.

Bob Cano 1 for his last 26.

OPS is now exactly what it was before his 3 HR game lol.

Unfortunately there is no configuration that would allow them to bench him for now. Can't move McNeil there, because you'd have either Lagares playing more and he's been horrendous.

If they are making a push, I could see them adding an actual OF today. Someone that could play LF and CF with an average bat.

Votto is washed up.

Unless he goes in a trade today, how did they not call up Frazier to DH, if Edwin is going to see time at first.

So next we'll find out about Wheeler. Something tells me that he's sticking around they make a go for it with these 5 starters.

They are going to make teams come up to their demand. That speculation says someone will likely do it. They already said they will most likely submit the QO for Wheeler in the offseason. Would have to be better than the picks they would get if he declines and signs somewhere else. I'm not sure if that will happen.

Man, I just hope that if we don't get a starter, Boone actually properly utilizes our elite pen in the playoffs. Have a bullpen game if necessary, show some balls.

Hate to say it but he is right.

Just dont know who that is

He's wrong in that there are no difference makers to be had unless somebody way off the radar is actually available.

Unfortunately, I think unless said off the radar top of rotation starter becomes available, then I'd think the best course of action is to stay put rather than compound the mistakes they've made over the past few years by overpaying for a middling starter that doesn't solve the issues the rotation has.

The Yanks have partially made the crap bed they have and they may just have to lay in it for this year.

I say partially because I think we are glossing over how much losing the no 1 starter for the whole year (as well as an all-star reliever) has hurt the whole pitching staff.
