Do we want to win the Wild card game only to be swept by Boston the next round?Does Boone keep his job if they lose the wildcard game?

At least fire Thames.Yes.
They're not firing him after a season.
Nice to see super duper mid season pick up Ian Kinsler kill the rally there.
There is no hitting philosophy within this team. It is simply homerun or bust. Not good enough. They need to manufacture runs in different ways. And its not just that. It is the fact these guys take the same swing in a 2 strike count as in a no strike count. At least fire Thames.
Neil Walker isn't too great anymore, but he's likeable.
Happy for him.

Feel like we will need the stars to align. It starts with the pitching, then the homerun or bust hitting, and then the shotty defense. No reason we can't beat Boston.

He was not a 200k hitter before he got Thames'd bro
They will have to play much better than the garbage that we've seen recently. No reason we can't beat Boston.
The Starting pitching still worries me. Im not convinced on Sevy yet. Happ and Tanaka have been good but i would hardly say dominant to say one or the other is a clear cut number one at this point in time. I dont like there boom or bust offense. When both teams have been at full strength the Yankees have handled Boston.
Its laughable when they have the Green Monster at Fenway. Also laughable that it is 2018 and they are complaining the short porch has been there for decades. We had Righties going the other way. They could easily do the same. BabiesSome of the Boston media complaining about short homers today.
You lost 10-1.
Didn't DiDi hit a 295ft homer at Fenway? Some of the Boston media complaining about short homers today.

So what you're saying is that...I mean, Fenway was built to fit into a couple city blocks. That's the reason for the dimensions. For the Monster, for Pesky's Pole, etc. We all know this.
New Yankee Stadium is meant to evoke old Yankee Stadium, but the dimensional design choices are intentional. So, you can't really compare the dimensions of the two--one was done out of need, the other nostalgia. I mean none of it matters because everyone is playing on the same field, but still.
...I said it's stupid to complain ("none of it matters"). So yeah thanks for wasting the keystrokes to recap things. So what you're saying is that...
...because Fenway was built to be smaller...
...the Red Sox should be more used to hitting homers in short parks and should do it more frequently.
Oh wait. They lost 10-1. They don't get to complain.
