Feel like we will need the stars to align. It starts with the pitching, then the homerun or bust hitting, and then the shotty defense.

Boston has blown half of their save opps since the ASB.

That bull pen is a problem, their rotation has been allergic to October. There are some definite visible cracks in that armor.

Not to mention the better team doesn’t always win a 5 game set. The best team doesn’t always in the WS either, the team that was good enough to get in and plays the best ball in October wins.

Do we want to win the Wild card game only to be swept by Boston the next round?

Of course yes.

Boston isn't unbeatable. Their bullpen sucks. You get a starter out early, and they got a longgggg way to go before Kimbrel.

They also haven't hit in the 2nd half like they did in the 1st.

They're a really flawed team as well.

Mets are shutting down Wheeler for the season. I think that's totally cool.

Pitched like 100 more innings than he did last season. Great f***ing year for him especially after the ASB. I love eating that crow.

Andujar is a monster offensively. It should be a priority to find something to do with him to mask his defense.

If he has to move to 1B, he's way more of a priority than Bird at this point.

When both teams have been at full strength the Yankees have handled Boston.
The Starting pitching still worries me. Im not convinced on Sevy yet. Happ and Tanaka have been good but i would hardly say dominant to say one or the other is a clear cut number one at this point in time. I dont like there boom or bust offense.

Some of the Boston media complaining about short homers today.

You lost 10-1.
Its laughable when they have the Green Monster at Fenway. Also laughable that it is 2018 and they are complaining the short porch has been there for decades. We had Righties going the other way. They could easily do the same. Babies

I mean, Fenway was built to fit into a couple city blocks. That's the reason for the dimensions. For the Monster, for Pesky's Pole, etc. We all know this.

New Yankee Stadium is meant to evoke old Yankee Stadium, but the dimensional design choices are intentional. So, you can't really compare the dimensions of the two--one was done out of need, the other nostalgia. I mean none of it matters because everyone is playing on the same field, but still.

So what you're saying is that...

...because Fenway was built to be smaller...

...the Red Sox should be more used to hitting homers in short parks and should do it more frequently.

Oh wait. They lost 10-1. They don't get to complain.

...I said it's stupid to complain ("none of it matters"). So yeah thanks for wasting the keystrokes to recap things.
