There was absolutely NO f***ING REASON for Jonathan Holder to be in this game.

NO f***ING REASON.

This is the type of shit that scares me as Boone as a manager

when is Delin coming back? i miss him

I'm honestly terrified our bullpen is going to be absolutely fried come September and October if we make it. Our SP situation is so awful right now, and we're burning through so many innings with these guys.

I tend to agree on Holder in that situation but no shame in giving up a long ball to Alvarez. That guy is going to be a star and is on a ridiculous tear this year.

For anyone who gives a ****:

Met Jason Giambi by work in midtown tonight. I thanked him for the great memories and he was nothing but the absolute coolest. Whatta nice guy, really.

And of course I screamed to him across seventh ave as he walked away: "WAS THE GOLD THONG FOR REAL?"

He turned, laughed and confirmed it wholeheartedly and gave me a big smile and wave. He was red faced with laughter.

Called pops immediately and we laughed like complete bastards.

Obviously the homer pitch was awful, but that at bat was really impressive, taking close pitches, fouling off pitches, guy looks like a stud.

It’s so frustrating how dumb we’ve been with regards to starting pitching. Even knowing our injury issues, yet we still refuse to sign anyone? We had chances, but we just let them slip by. Tanaka is fine, Paxton will be better with time, but who else? Even when Severino comes back this season, if he comes back, how long until he’s game ready? We’ll get destroyed in the playoffs if we have 2.5 adequate starters.
