Bautista, Mesoraco, and Belvins should be off the roster by the deadline tomorrow. No need for any of the 3. Can get Nido a spot to see what he can do for 2 months. Opens some 40 man spots too. Doubt we'd see Alonso come up, but would like to see him at some point this season.

Mesoraco is the best catcher the Mets have had in a while, which tells you how bad they've been at that position. If the Mets don't plan to rebuild I don't see Nido (or Plawecki) as the answer and D'arnaud can't stay on the field. The only reason Mesoraco will be traded is because of his contract. I wonder if he'd resign with the Mets on the cheap next season?

Warren is a good depth reliever but he isnt anything spectacular. Kahnle should have his spot.

He's a good depth reliever for the greatest bullpen ever assembled - he'll have a more prominent role with the Mariners, who are battling with the Yankees for the Wild Card.

We are just as close to the Red Sox as the Mariners are to us. It is puzzling to strengthen a team that could possibly overtake us if things go south.

I am not necessarily concerned with Warren. His stuff is not overpowering. He is hittable.

Yankees traded for and re-signed Chapman. Yankees would have been a good fit too.
