I wouldn't have given him up either for an impending free agent...especially after what just happened with Soto.

the Yankees are in a bad spot offensively and defensively. they need like 3 two way players especially with Fried being a soft contact hitter. we really, really needed someone like Tucker and i'd have happily given up Gil for him even as a rental.
