Hopefully this means that if I turn on a Yankees game on the YES network I dont have to hear them breathlessly exclaim "Aaron Judge is the best player in the world" anymore. Hes got a case of A-Rod post season choke-itis. Now time for the Mets to swoop in like pirates and grab the booty of Gerrit Cole and Juan Soto. Bwahahaa..

If they were willing to give up for Burnes they would still be playing
Probably not actually given the Yankees crappy defense and terrible fundamentals almost all season, and it came back to bite them this series. If Anything, the Yankees lost this series moreso than the Dodgers won it.

Cole isn't going anywhere, lol. Yankees will pick up that extra year if Cole opted out and he'll stay.

Soto is more of an unknown, but I think Hal will resign him.

The A rod choke stuff died in 2009.

Yankees did sure look like the Mets usually do in this series though.

Stanton has always been good in the postseason. Assuming he continues to stay mostly healthy, I'll always trust him in the playoffs.

The Yankees need to go full "f*** you mode" like they did in 2008 when they signed CC, AJ and Tex. They need to resign Soto, and go out and get Roki Sasaki and Corbin Burnes.

I would have a policy. 20 plus homeruns or a .280 average. If you cant do either you better be near a gold glove fielder.

All you need is one.

A Rod was amazing in 2009. He was OPS’ing approximately 100000000.000 at every single point against the Angels lmao.

Boone coming back is comical but expected.Hal doesn't have balls like George did

f*** George. He's the reason why they are in this Groundhog Day mess.

And the owner wants to moneyball it whilst having a GM that can't even win it while spending 300M on salary. Not exactly a recipe for success

Fixed it for you. Throwing money at it isn't the solution in of itself. Having good management in place to wisely spend all the money is.

That's the difference between the Dodgers and Yankees (and Mets).

The Plucky, Upstart, Underdog Mets: 306M-318M in payroll
The Cheap, Tightening the Purse String, Moneyball Yankees: 303M-309M in payroll
The Just Bought a WS, Spend All Day Dodgers: 241M-250M in payroll

Looks like Steve Cohen learned that going full George Steinbrenner isn't the way and smartly changed it up for the future while still willing to spend.
Hal wants to keep the same executive team that built a deeply flawed 300M team in place but then only give them 250M to work with.

Heard the same thing about Arod and others many times over the years. Remember Eagles fans and the media questioning if Andy Reid could ever win a Superbowl. Baseball is such a tough sport. Even the best hitters fail 7 times out of 10.

Even with A-Rods struggles he was a much better player in the playoffs than Judge.

Time is not on the Yankees side, they had just about everything go right for them this year too

Only time will tell. I agree they need things to go right for them but I think you can say that for around 75% of teams that do not repeat.
