imagine dating your super hot and cool gf for years until one day she up and leaves your ass for your neighbor and they get married almost immediately.

If I was an LA Angels fan I’d swallow my cyanide capsule.
Maybe just switch to being a Dodgers fan and ask to be best man? As Rangers fans we know that everything looks better in blue.

lol what? They were unbeatable by this Yankee team. At least the Mets games were close against them.

Unless you mean in this game, specifically.
This game and Game 1 were wins if they had better fundamentals and Boone didn't put Nestor in (and if my grandma had wheels she'd be a bicycle), and suddenly they are up 3-2 in the series.

Boone and Cashman won't be fired. This season will be seen as a success and the status quo will continue.

Idk about anyone else but this series felt all too familiar to the 2014 Stanley Cup Finals.
I see some similarities, but there's nothing offensive to me about the 2014 Rangers.

The Yankees just aren't a very good baseball team. Five unearned runs with the World Series on the line. And we saw gaffes like that all year.

@Whoot Whoot said explain it in NHL terms. It's the Rangers. Not in 2014, but every other year. They just weren't serious and they ran into a team that is serious.

looking at the team, this was the year so it’s probably all downhill going forward.

Stanton will probably never have a postseason like he did again. Cole and Judge are only getting older

I’m like 70% sure Soto goes elsewhere.

And the owner wants to moneyball it whilst having the most lucrative team in the league. Not exactly a recipe for success

@Whoot Whoot unforced errors, poor fundamentals and lack of execution is universal.

But if you were to imagine a hockey scenario, it would be leading 5-0 with a controlled breakout and turning it over that eventually results in a GA. Then you take a double minor and the other team cashes in on both. As soon as that's done, your goalie goes behind the net to play a puck that never gets there, leaving wide open his net for a goal. Now it's 5-4. Your next trick up your sleeve is allow a minute-long opponent cycle shift that nets the tying goal. All in a span of about 7 minutes.

Sounds like an Islanders game.

The best part of everything that shook out is that clown Borelli from barstool got to experience more of that.

I mean, barely...and Ohtani was hurt for most of the season.

I don't see the Yankees ever winning with a guy like Judge, it not all his fault but he just isn't a guy to step up

Heard the same thing about Arod and others many times over the years. Remember Eagles fans and the media questioning if Andy Reid could ever win a Superbowl. Baseball is such a tough sport. Even the best hitters fail 7 times out of 10.

Stanton has always been good in the postseason. Assuming he continues to stay mostly healthy, I'll always trust him in the playoffs.

The Yankees need to go full "f*** you mode" like they did in 2008 when they signed CC, AJ and Tex. They need to resign Soto, and go out and get Roki Sasaki and Corbin Burnes.

The Yankees need like six bats and we're signing pitchers?

6 bats is an over-exaggeration, lol

I think Dominguez can be an X-factor if he finally gets consistent playing time. Plus, Volpe and Wells will continue to take a step forward, IMO. The big thing will be replacing Gleyber if he doesn't come back and Rizzo.

But bat wise, resigning Soto will be the biggest thing. Maybe signing Christian Walker to be the new 1B would be clutch as well.

They need a 1B. They need a 2B/3B and he needs to be good because Jazz should be hitting in the bottom third. They need a LF assuming they don't sign Soto, which they probably won't. Stanton will play around 100 games and it would be just peachy if Trent Grisham doesn't play the other 62. They need a lot of position players.

Meanwhile, I'm pretty much fine with the rotation. Pitchers are barely a notch above goaltenders when it comes to being worth money. They're all one throw away from their arms falling off, and everyone but the top 5 or so are inconsistent.

Edited my post, but something like resigning Soto and signing Christian Walker to be your new 1B would go a long way.

You're so lucky mas0674 doesn't follow baseball.
