Really? I'd call that safe every time. The only thing that would have made that ball start moving around in the glove was the contact with the runner.
In real time, looked like the ball got knocked out from contact. On replay it looked like he held it long enough after slapping the tag

He's been surprisingly effective considering his stuff looks so hitable.
For the most part. He got rocked in Gm 2 Milwaukee

I remember posting on here about how much better we matched up against the Blue Jays and how I was disappointed when KC advanced. They were a team that didn't strike out, which was kryptonite for our pitching staff.
I remember they were just do patient at the plate.

Meanwhile, Stanton's closed stance is the most closed I've seen since George Foster

I knew the Royals would be tough because of their loss the year before -- they looked like a team that was not going to be denied a second time.

Mets go up 3-0:

"This is a great opportunity for Philadelphia to come back and win the game and take back all the momentum here."

What a f***ing bizarre thing to say. I mean I know they're the Mets, but that's the observation you make at this point?

Last night they were tripping over themselves to praise the Phillies for getting Diaz to do like a 5 minute warm up toss in the 9th inning lol.

The Fox strike zone overlay, at least vertically, is utterly ridiculous, though. Next time Bryce Harper is up check it out it’s not even up to his belt let alone where the rule book says it should be. It’s an actual square. It’s why I don’t want robo umps because whoever draws strike zones is a bigger idiot than most of the umps.
