As with younger Rangers fans, younger Mets fans have that same feeling that the other shoe is about to drop. I can remember when miracles and amazing finishes were a Mets thing. 1969, 1973, 1986 - Game 6 in the NLCS AND Game 6 in the WS

I'm not a Mets fan, but that was exciting. My Dad always cheered for the yanks and the Mets, giants and the jets and it used to annoy me. But now that I'm older I kind of get it. However I will never wish anything but ill will to the fish sticks or that Mickey mouse team over here..

I could never root for “both” teams. I’m a one team guy in all sports

Jomboy breakdown on Williams tipping his pitches

Jomboy and tipping pitches are both very overrated. Execution is where it's at in all sports. Teams knew Lombardi was going to run the ball every play, but they still couldn't stop it. NE and OK ran the ball every play in the 70s, but teams still couldn't stop them. Teams knew Wooden's UCLA teams were gonna get the ball to Kareem and Walton, but they still couldn't stop them.

If you execute well, hitters will have trouble. Some pitches are unhittable. Mariano has the highest ERA+ ever and he used one pitch.

That’s great and all but if I have a choice between knowing what’s coming or not knowing what’s coming, I’m taking the former every single time.

Depth of hand in glove seems like something the center field camera could pick up but not the batter.

A question -- has MLB sold out all the playoff and WS games? Does this mean we don't get Keith, Ron & Gary any more this season?

Yep GKR done for the year. During the last game of the regular season they all said thank you and goodbye to the fans and to each other, saying their season as an announce team was over. Just the national guys now.

I think from this point forward everything is Fox, FS1, and TBS. .

Gary is on the SNY pre and post game shows. Ron is doing games for TBS. Keith is on a tropical island somewhere.

Shame that the RSNs don’t get to broadcast playoff games anymore. The local crews deserve it, especially GKR and the SNY crew.

Multicast playoff games with local crews on streaming is something that needs to happen.

Ron is doing the Yankees series actually, iirc he mentioned it during their goodbyes.

Thanks everyone. Fortunately, my main stream manages to sync the broadcast video with the Mets radio audio with Howie, so I can be thankful for that. I'm hoping it continues throughout.

Someone remind me how Wheeler got so good with the "best fastball in baseball"?
