OT: MLB Discussion Thread Part XXVII: M*A*S*H Edition

Do you remember the Moncada hype? He was as sure of a bet from an intl free agent as I've seen. The Yankees didn't put a competitive offer, the Red Sox did and they ended up using him as a piece for Chris Sale.

We're being robbed as fans. Our revenue continues to skyrocket, but our payroll remains the same. All going to the owners pockets

Jairo Beras was highly touted too some 7-8 years ago. So highly touted that the Rangers paid him 4.5 mill. He is now a 24 year struggling to get out of A-ball.

Bullpen has really cost them going on a really nice streak over the past two weeks. Easily could have 3 more wins: Dodgers blow up, Arizona blowup, and pulling Syndergaard on Monday. Really hampering the team.

Going to hope for a split with the Yankees and they have to take advantage of the Cardinals. Ozuna kills them, but that team has been awful since 5/1. Need 4 wins week minimum.

This will bring out the worst trend in sports - the “prayers up from a _____ fan”

Where fans of rival teams have to quantify their well wishes are SUPER important. As if being a functioning human and just wishing someone well, in real life, is too hard.

“Sorry you got shot, prayers up- and this is coming from a Mets fan”

Never understood it. Like anyone cares about someone's personal fandom against the gravity of an actual human being suffering something lol.
 
Initial reports were that he was shot in the leg.

Now its come out that he was actually shot in the back, bullet exited through his abdomen. Hes currently in surgery.
