The main difference is the batting average. This wasn't exactly a guy hitting for contact in minors.
2016 and 2017 were the aberration. This is Gary Sanchez.

He's not a .186 hitter but he's in danger of dropping into the .240's for his career and that's probably what we're looking it.He had a .274 career batting average in the minors. He isn't a .186 hitter that he had last season lol.
Anyway, the season is still very young, so let's see how he does from here on out.
lol Boston lost again
I'm sure Boston will pick it up, but depending on how bad it gets, spotting the AL East 6 or 7 games could be a death sentence.A lot of us are talking about the Yankees, but the Red Sox look worse right now.
I'm sure both teams will pick it up, though.
They have world series hangover excuse to hang onto.A lot of us are talking about the Yankees, but the Red Sox look worse right now.

Another game, another brawl involving Puig.
I watched that highlight and want my six minutes back. Was a single punch thrown?
I think it's the hitting philosophy. This team has had terrible at bats in big spots for years now.HORRIFIC ABs by Sanchez and Gleyber. Horrific. You have Verlander’s back against the wall. You are on pace to get his pitch count over 60 pitches after 3 innings, working your way toward the bullpen in game 1 of the 3 game set. Then those two idiots swing at the first pitch and be so so unproductive.
Even more upset with Sanchez. If you are gona swing at the first pitch at the top of the zone you better damn well get on top of it. I dont care how many HRs you hit against the ****ty Orioles, this is Houston and Verlander and you need every run.
