So yesterday's reports were that the Mets checked in on Keuchel and Kimbrel as a matter of due dilligence. Later reports were that the Mets were in constant contact with Keuchel. Would they actually pony up and sign him? Could be huge if they did.
It is worth noting that the DeGrom contract extension reduced his salary this season by $10MM to only $7MM. So $10MM was just freed up.

Put Keuchel between Noah and Wheeler and screw up hitters for the next week.

That $10 million was recast as a signing bonus over the contract so only $8 million was freed up.

If I was Mets I'd go to Keuchel's agent and offer 1 year deal at inflated $$$. Something like 1/25. Keuchel gets overpaid this year and in few months he gets to try and land that longterm deal he's after.

Fielders constantly block second base with their leg on double plays and stealing attempts and are getting run in to (like Judge's caught stealing play). Eventually someone's going to get really hurt and we'll proceed to no sliding altogether at that point.

Already growing tired of JD Davis
Seriously. I would rather Santana and Adolph in the system than Davis. I didn't originally dislike the move, but they added so much other depth, now it seems pointless. Who know, maybe he'll turn it on and become something good.

How the ef is that a strike on Judge of all people. It's like to prove a point that "we're not going to be biased by his size and call the low strike zone differently", which they SHOULD be doing becomes"be biased and call everything close a strike". And that wasn't even close.

Patiently waiting for a ball in the dirt to be called a strike for him.

Paxton pitching an absolute gem.

3 runs probably already too many for our half-chub offense to make up.
Half chub lol so fitting

they're feelin' the moment, hanging slider right there to hit, rears back....but then that one time they saw their parents doing the deed pops into their head....whifff

Big fan of YES's renewed focus on delicious looking food coming into and out of commercial breaks. Very underrated.

The reliance on homeruns continues with 4 today, but nonetheless this was a much much needed win. This team still does not hit for contact enough, the philosophy still needs to change. But again a win was needed and it was a good comeback win that can hopefully jumpstart this group
