The team can hit. The hitting coach has them taking a different approach. If I’d assume we probably lead the league with RBI’s with 2 outs. I think we’ve hit like 4 home runs so far and we’re getting a lot of run support. This is with Mickey playing around with the schedule.

This team is forreal. If the Mets do sign Dallas. Yikes. Phillies and Mets game will be a blood bath.

Very impressed by their hitting so far. Six months is a long time to sustain it without bonafide feared bats. It will have to be offense by committee.
 
I will be saying my prayers every night that Thames gets fired the next day. And that we hire a hitting coach that actually coaches and brings a hitting philosophy to this team. Because this team is not winning anything with this homerun or bust approach. They dont swing for contact. They dont play small ball. No manufacturing runs. No spraying the field with hits. And nothing changes. Its not just 1 or 2 hitters, its every position player. That tells you something right there.
 
I've been saying all winter that Gsellman sucks, and should not be considered a core part of the bullpen. Let me reiterate: Gsellman sucks.

Agreed.

Baseball is strange. Yankees probably gonna lose this series with the Orioles on top of the Tigers, and then sweep the Astros and Red Sox in the next two weeks. Because there is no god.

There are baseball gods and they have a wicked sense of humour.
 
So yesterday's reports were that the Mets checked in on Keuchel and Kimbrel as a matter of due dilligence. Later reports were that the Mets were in constant contact with Keuchel. Would they actually pony up and sign him? Could be huge if they did.

keuchel would be a smart move.

looks like this team is legit. depth for real and solid D.

add dallas and this team 1-5 is as good as anyone.

It's a long ass season. Don't rest on a good start.

Have you seen any constants as far as Keuchels asking price? I haven’t really seen anything. Does want 5 years, 125m? Or is this a shorter lower amount. I have no idea.
