The sucky thing is, behind Keuchel, there's not much left. You've got guys like Shields, Edwin Jackson, Tillman, Gallardo. They all suck. It's why I'm so surprised Keuchel is still out there, because there's nothing else.

Kimbrel would be awesome and he may end up taking a short deal, but I would imagine he'd want to be closing. He'd be the third closer on the roster and wouldn't unseat Diaz, so I don't know if he'd go for that.

Yea Vargas is better than all those guys except for obviously Keuchel.

You know what I was happy to see after Alonso's bomb, was that in the dugout the guy who seemed to be happiest for him was Dom Smith. They stuck their tongues out and did some high-fiving and all that, but they seemed to have a pretty good bond. That's good, that Dom is taking the whole situation in stride, and acting like a veteran.

And I have to say, I'm really happy with Dom. He looks good in the box and he just looks good in general, like he might actually be one of those guys who is in the best shape of his life. He's no liability on the base paths and motors around pretty good. If he continues to work every day shagging fly balls, he could become and actual option in the outfield. Very impressed with what I've seen over the past month.

I hope Robles pans out and becomes a star. I got a million Victor Robles Topps Chrome rookie cards last year. Refractors. 35th anniversary cards. Base cards.

A million Robles and a million Clint Frazier rookie cards. This is Frazier's opportunity. Stanton is hurt. Hicks is hurt. This is his opportunity. The Yankees need his bat. You don't want to say now or never but it's now or never for him as a Yankee. It's getting there. He had a bad spring training. He appears to be healthy.

I think I have about a half dozen alfonso soriano autographed rookie cards (SPx). Hopes and dreams...

You wonder if some of his weight issues in the minors was due to the sleep issues that he had. The best thing the Mets began to do was start looking into how to get players the best kind of rest. Sleep issues can disrupt anything people do. Getting his weight in check and sleep issues fixed may have brought him back to relevance in this franchise.

If he can offer any position versatility, it will help. The good news is that we have no shortage of DH options when playing interleague. The whole bench can hit for the most part. Not to mention you have Lowrie and Frazier coming back.

I really wonder who goes does when they come back. Probably JD Davis, if he has options. Guillorme is going down for Lowrie. I can't see Dom going down if he keeps hitting.

Totally valid question. I had severe sleep apnea, which was unusual given that I wasn't overweight (I was according to BMI but I'm not a Vietnamese child so f*** that). They took out my tonsils, uvula, and a bunch of soft tissue. It was like magic. I stopped waking up at night gasping for air, the night sweats that drenched my entire bed ceased, I felt awake and alert, I lost 10 pounds without altering any routine, etc. Sleep has an enormous impact on the body, as you said, and not getting good sleep (or no REM sleep) can really be debilitating. My mother, who is overweight, got a CPAP when she was about 62 and it changed her life as well.

I hope they keep Dom up, even if he is probably more redundant than the other guys. I just feel like there's still something there with Dom that needs to be explored. You know? Like he's only played 100 games and he's six months younger than Alonso. Last year sucked but there could be a valid reason why it did. I want to hold onto him and make sure we don't end up being the Cardinals in the Luke Voit deal.

Joe DiMaggio hit in 56 straight games.

Roger Maris hit 61 homeruns.

Kerry Wood stuck out 20 batters.

The Warriors had a 3-1 lead.

Metallica released the Black Album.

DJ LeMahieu was on base for all of them.

LeMahieu is a Rockets fan.

Vargas looks like trash. I know, it's the second inning, but still. I have been holding out hope that after his strong second half he could be useful this year.

6 OFers....LMAO Cashman you f***ing fool.

Much rather watch this Bum Gardner continue to be a windmill up there.

Cashman. Smartest Person in the Dumb room.

Acuna about to sign a $100 million contract. Judge making $700k. Do the Yanks feel any pressure to give him a contract during the season?

Yankees have more important things to worry about than Judge’s next contract.

What a pathetic effort from Chapman tonight. You cannot walk people. This is his downfall at times.

I also think Boone is over using these guys. Its the beginning of the season and its cold as shit out. But then again we have an idiot for a manager.

This offense is a joke with all of these injuries. We are in trouble.

The injuries aren't helping, but our offense is pretty much built to run hot and cold.

It's been a problem for years and Cashman doesn't think it's a problem.

Mickey needs a quicker hook. He's obsessed with Lugo. I know guys need to pitch through it but wins count the same early in the season.
