Could really not help but think "seen this before" watching Mitch handle the puck in that last minute.

You can see the moments are too big for him. He’s not that guy.

It’s either these games matter or they don’t we cant picc and choose as we see fit…….but your right and to me hes a real good complementary piece so it should be clear it’s his last year in a leafs jersey after he took us for everything last go around we should move off matthews too if it’s possible

My position is, and has been since Tavares signed, is individually they are all fine players. But we just don't need 4 x 11mil + forwards. We don't even need 3. There's an argument to be made we don't need 2.

If this organization has/had any serious intent on trying to win the Cup, they should've moved on from at least 2 of them.

That's one thing that really stood out to me these first two games. He doesn't look like he knows where he should be.

Come on man. Didn't our core sans JT win us the All-star tournament in Toronto? That and beating Tampa were their SCs. The rest are first round exits.

Playoff style game to say the least, usa vs canada. Marner was completely invisible at 5 on 5. PP he made a few good passes. Marner will be passive vs physical teams in the playoffs, Ill pass on re-signing him. Use that 12-13 million and sign Bennett and another Tanev type of dman.

I didn't get a chance to watch the game, but he had 19:29 of ice time, 2nd most for forwards behind mcdavid and was 1 of 4 players on the team to not register a hit. He also only had a single shot on goal.

As I've seen year over year; he can play in the regular season, but he lacks that extra gear that playoff performers when games get tighter.

Both Reinhart and Marner are struggling with McDavid. McDavid is not running a cycle game & he had a ton of turnovers.

It’s unfortunate but McDavid is trying to go out there and be Mr. Canada. He doesn’t play like that with Edmonton, but he’s trying to do way too much on his own this tournament and hasn’t been using his linemates. Been tough to watch

When his line is quiet in a loss, now he doesn’t show up in the biggest games and it’s we should get rid of him and not sign him.

What the hell did you see from bennett last night that makes you want to sign him?

If anything this game last night reinforced the idea that you still need skillful players. Just like the WJC, Canada thought they were gonna grind and hit their way to victory. You need to be able to score goals. Leaving guys like Hyman and Stamkos, Bedard, Bouchard seems to have been a mistake. Hockey Canada has completely galaxy brained it.
