I think most important is that if they give Marner the 13 million. He cannot get a full NMC. There’s precedent for UFA’s signing extensions with limited NMC’s. That would be my sticking point. They have to have the option to move him if things don’t work. That’s the only logical way I can accept a deal like that. Pastrnak has a limited NMC I think in the latter years.

They hand out NM like candy. If they couldn't get Willie to give them a modified in the final year there is no way Mitch doesn't get the full NM forever. Best hope IMO is Marner is not quite as greedy as we fear and the AAV comes in under $13M.
