Deflecting as you are doing is transparent and childish. It’s ok, I couldn’t care either way. Hopefully he lights it up tonight.

I looked up the top 8 players this regular season in terms of assists that made the playoffs. Everyone has scored, except Marner.

8 MacKinnon
4 Stone
3 Marchand
2 Draisatl
2 Schiefele
2 Huberdeau
1 McDavid (4 games)
0 Marner

But, I guess his elite playmaking of 4 assists in 6 games and that costly SH gaffe in Game 6 justifies that $11M AAV.

That contract would be forgivable if Mitch stepped up and produced in the playoffs or the team won a series or two but given the way he has all but disappeared in the playoffs, that contract is unforgiveable and I hope it cost Dubas his job and a trip to the airport for Mitch.

It's honestly like night vs day to how he was during the regular season where he arguably had played the best hockey of his career

Very much so and you can add Kessel to that list too (for different reasons) .. nice to have guys but not core guys for playoff hockey .. regular season guys who do well when lots of open ice and they can dipsy doodle around it .. but when you need speed and power to break traps in tight hockey they don;t have those raw skills .. it is da people who think they are NOT givin er all who make me LOL .. Mitch always gives his utmost .. his issues are skills related (speed and strength)

I’d have to go dig it up. But there’s a Mitch Marner draft preview article from THN in 2015 that talked about his crisis in confidence during his early time with the London Knights when he didn’t build on his early success and thought about quitting at some point. Had to go home to get right during the season. Then came back and blew up offensively. Seems like a pattern with him where he has high highs and low lows and that characteristic has either imprinted on the Leafs or has accentuated whatever fragility was going on with this franchise.
 
Jonas Siegel really made it sound like Marner is extremely selfish whereas Nylander is more of a “whatever is best for the team” kind of player. Man how wrong people were about these two. Who knew Nylander would be the hard working team first guy and Marner would be the selfish playoff no show.

If Marner can’t put his ego aside and see he hurts the PP (0 PP goals), that says a lot about him.

Mitch has made plenty of highlight reel plays this series....his linemates on the other hand have no finish atm!

Hence why his point total is lower.

It's funny everyone's upset because hes not scoring goals, yet that's not his skill set! And if anyone argues hes not playing up to par on his playmaking abilities and working hard on his defense and PK they need to go watch the series again when there not 8-beers deep....hell before game6 the media was praising him for his penalty kill and defensive plays!

And who was he passing to when he sent a high flying puck into the stands when he could have simply slid the puck down the ice? I have never seen it at a critical time in a game from a plug let alone a 10.893m core player.

I decided to post now due to all this hate on our best player, it's out of character and makes us real fans look like a joke!

The media does enough bullshit to reassure players dont want to play here....but hey you probably work in media and post crap on this form to start drama and headlines!

If you think Marner's the reason our team blew a 3-1 lead i honestly dont know what to tell you, its a team effort!
Playmakers need the guys around them to preform, and in mitch's case his linemates are like 2-100 on some really nice chances.
