At least we can dispel the 'he'd refuse to play center' myth.......progress.
Thanks for passing it along ...

I for one have always considered him a 100 point pace player. The compromise seems to be to call him a 100 point pace player rather than a 100 point player. It's splitting hairs, but technically accurate And most will be unhappy with it lol which is better than one side getting what they want over the other
Imo Tre can only extend one of Marner or JT before the playoffs. If the team is 7 and out again in the first round, someone from the core is going to go form an optics POV. It's likely JT given his age
I think that's all anyone has said. And he's been that pace the last six years combined, which is an incredible achievement really. It's a weird debate, self evident.I for one have always considered him a 100 point pace player.
I use the trusty eye test when I roast him so it’s only fair that I use the eye test when I commend him. That said I think he will revert back to his previous self once Matthews is backYou should check his 5 vs 5 numbers. Bourne has brought it up every time Kyper pumps Mitch's tires.

I like him, but lost a lot of respect for him this week after he said somebody will pay Marner between $13m and $14m/Draisaitl money.
In 2019 when talking about Marner, Dreger said he'd heard teams would put out a 14 million offers sheet. Dreger is an idiot. You can tell Ferris had him in his back pocket.I like him, but lost a lot of respect for him this week after he said somebody will pay Marner between $13m and $14m/Draisaitl money.
Man, you're annoying.Because we are keeping track
2 more assists for Marner today.
One on a 2 vs 1 while on the pp, the other on an empty net.
The 2v1 pp was after his muffin shot was blocked and after the block the Knights went the other way on their own 2vs1 but failed. Tavares slings the puck from the defensive zone down the ice to Marner, who immediately under no pressure passes to Nylander...who walks in and scores.
Again...not the play driver on either.

Marner is a Leaf so I have to support him... he still has lots to prove. The 2 on 1 play is just how you want it... early pass which gives the D and Hill a new set of options to deal with . Shot or pass back. Great play..Because we are keeping track

If you think he's going to sign for only a marginal raise, I've got some swampland to sell you.We better not give Mitch more than 11. I don’t care if some think William is overpaid, 2 wrongs won’t make it right. Jump off this merrygoround
With the cap going up a lot he will get more then Mathews if they just give him the same percentage of the cap he got when he signed last contract. Anything less is a discount. Cap will be over 100m in the 26-27 season likely 105 millionIf you think he's going to sign for only a marginal raise, I've got some swampland to sell you.
12 something should be the max but you’d think he’s gotta get signed we can get a couple cups out of this team with the right tweaksWith the cap going up a lot he will get more then Mathews if they just give him the same percentage of the cap he got when he signed last contract. Some team in 2019 was willing to make him the highest paid player in the league, absent at that time not even a single playoff round win? On top of that, they would have to forfeit draft picks? In 2019 when talking about Marner, Dreger said he'd heard teams would put out a 14 million offers sheet. Dreger is an idiot. We will see, he’s lucky I like him. Not everybody gets a raise. He was at 90 points a season with the expectation of improvement on his last deal and it was an overpayment. Today he is worth that money, he is what he is he.If you think he's going to sign for only a marginal raise, I've got some swampland to sell you.
none of these guys were play drivers either
