Crosby is a freak of nature. No amount of physical training is getting Marner remotely close to the quads of Crosby. I don’t think there’s a player in the league that is really built like Crosby. Not even Nathan MacKinnon.

Lol who gives a f*** about Marner’s body composition honestly? It’s irrelevant. You don’t need to be built like Crosby. He just needs to change his mindset. There are players Marner’s size who go to the front of the net no problem. Marner needs to get his ass in front of the net that’s it.

Phil Kessel drank coke and no water and could score 30 to 40 in his sleep.

I remember when the Dubasites tried to tell me Sid wasnt a power forward. TBF to them, to the best of my knowledge there’s no fantasy points to collect for PF, and there’s no column on the spreedsheet, so they wouldn’t know how he does what he does.

Yup im wrong...yet management thought it was a big enough issue that they talked about him having a great offseason...like it was unusual and needed to be talked about?

Lol why do you dislike him so much hahaha? It goes both ways. Even on days where he has great games, I have never once since 2022 I think it is, seen you give him a compliment or give him praise when praise is due. Your mission has been to convince everyone he is not a good player!

It’s hard to believe that he can’t gain muscle. I’ve watched freshman ball players with the same build look better than him the time they graduate. His bones must be extremely small and thin.

The point being though, is that every player is unique and body composition while it helps, is not a significant factor in whether you will be elite at hockey. Some of the most in shape NHLers are 4th line plugs.

What sets apart the best players is their mindset and a willingness to get hurt in pursuit of a goal or scoring chance if you will.

So if you want to say Marner lacks that, I would agree, he’s pretty perimeter. But his body composition hasn’t affected his play that much. I swear one of the years he did put on muscle and it didn’t really work out well or something like that.

This is exactly it. This place was crickets in November with the exemption being Antro bringing up some random 5on5 stats that were always a reach. After a win Antro is quiet in here, after a loss it's like a kid in a candy store in here for him. He's the complete opposite of a fan of this team.

I mean, I don't remember Kessel being that fast mainly because he was a one way player..I remember him being good on the fastbreak, like 2on1's but he didn't use his speed to get in on the dump in and turn the puck over, that's 100% for sure.

I'm perfectly fine with accepting something I said as a mistake..Something there's zero chance.you would ever do. Any time you've been proven wrong which has been time and time again you just vanish and don't acknowledge it.
