Tonight for the first time, I saw the trout up against the glass doing the fish swim against the fishbowl.
OMG, LMAO!

Well that was an unexpected flat effort after such a great display in North Bay.

Think the Wolves gave them more then they expected, and were probably a little high on themselves after the road win in NB. Hopefully they'll hit the ice tomorrow looking to make the long bus trip home a good one.

I've liked how Misa has been involved with scoring chances since the trades. It isn't just the increased ice time, he seems to get positioned in front of the net when and where it matters, Veccia seems to have benefitted since the deals as well. They aren't owning the shot count like the past year and a half but since the deals they have been looking more likely to score then before.

Del Mastro is certainly missed, glad JR split Sharpe and Larsen up. That was not a first line D pairing, Larsen has imo not played like a OA dman with his size, that you would expect.

Not complaing about the deal with the Sting, even though Del Mastro and DBB are missed I think the two players have been great additions. Martone, Mc Donnell have looked good and the picks involved should ( better damn well) help shape the team for a good run ahead. Same with the deals with the Petes, JVV and De Zeote. I've really noticed and liked Leskovar, sure he isnt the best skilled, but he is more sound defensively then a couple guys in the top 4.

Good effort last night against a very physical Attack team. Not very often we get outhit, but Owen Sound made a few guys pay. Hopefully the boys heal their bruises quickly because Sudbury is in town and they usually give us more than we can handle.

Got to say I'm really impressed with how well the Trout are playing after clearing out most of the high end talent at the trade deadline. This team will be a force for the next two years with all the talent they recouped in trades. They already competitive and are giving some teams fits.

It's been a pleasant surprise, I enjoy going to the rink more now then before the deadline, junior hockey, go figure.

Not that I expect it to last the Trout are one point ahead of the Petes, though they have a game in hand. Certainly didn't see that happening a few weeks ago.

Good thing they got two points last night against Niagara, going to see a much better team in Windsor tonight.

Beglieri was scratched last night, flu, injury?

I believe Beglieri is out with injury from the collision vs Sudbury. I saw him walking around the concourse on Friday so hopefully he isn't out for long. However Leenders has been playing better of late, really looking like the goalie of the future for the team.

Solid game yesterday against one of the top teams in the league. Happy coming away with a point on the road.

Can't leave with commenting on Martone's goal. Wow what a play between him and Van Volsen! Looking forward to seeing many more of those over the next few years

Split the weekend, knew it would be a uphill skate against Ottawa. Weird schedule, they're going up there again shortly. Guelph for the late morning school game then a few tough ones, NB at home then up the 400 to Barrie, then back to Ottawa the weekend after. Will be interesting to see how they fare, I'm more interested in how they play at this point then wins, being a young team.

Check out Hamilton's sked, of their next six games they have reasonable likely hood of points in 5, ER x2, NIA x2, OS and Ottawa. I realize a first round loss is quite likely but I'd rather stay in 5th then slip down the standings.

I would like to play the Petes in round 1 because I think we have a slightly better chance than if we face the Colts. However, losing another playoff series to a team consisting of Avery Hayes is more than I am willing to take. I hope Hamilton passes us.

I would like to know how the refs determined that third Barrie goal was a good goal. Looked like a clear direct kick in on the replay.

Things are looking bright moving forward. Unfortunately the team has hit a bit of snag recently, but not surprising considering the inexperience.

Hoping they can still make a push for 5th, Peterborough is the only top team in the East that I can see them giving a scare to. Otherwise, don't mind dropping to 8th and getting a higher pick in the draft

Said it before and I'll keep posting it. Missy is gonna be good for the next few years. They skated well with a much senior Colts team last night. They have speed to burn and a goalie that looks like the future of the team.
Loved the jerseys from last evening.

I've been on record saying I have been enjoying this team more since the deadline then previous. Last night was just a reinforcement. Both Veccia and Misa have benefitted with the extra ice time. Martone has been impressive as well as their other additions, Mac Donnell and JVV.

Parker Von Ritchter had a great game, good to see a rookie Dman having this success, that would seem to be the achilles heel going forward.

Echoing that the jerseys were great, i'm hoping to pick one up from the auction.

The team has a great 06' group starting with Leenders in net, PVR on the back end and 3 top six forwards in JVV, Martone and Karmiris

I may not want to play these guys if I'm Barrie. They are so young, they may not be aware enough to be nervous 🙂. Could be a wagon as soon as next year but def the season after. They will need to add a D with some offense and a bit more overall grit but will be fun to watch.

PBO is at OTT tonight, then comes down to play here tomorrow afternoon.
NB is at NIA tomorrow night, then goes all the way home to play the Fish on Sunday afternoon.

With a win at home tonight, there's a very real chance they run the table and grab 4th.
