The reason I'm posting this one today is that for the last few weeks, it was on the conservative end of publicly available models specifically for the Flyers.. It now has them projected slightly ahead of Pittsburgh.
This last stretch has changed some things, even if they cool off a bit as expected. Enjoy it.
Too bad Detroit isn’t like Philly, where they get hot with 15 games left to ruin their draft spot.Strangely, only two teams in the league get to beat up Detroit more than once down the stretch: Tampa (3 times) and Washington (2 times).
Detroit could win every game the rest of the way and probably not ruin their draft position.Too bad Detroit isn’t like Philly, where they get hot with 15 games left to ruin their draft spot.
Yep.Detroit could win every game the rest of the way and probably not ruin their draft position.
Have the Flyers beat any playoff teams yet, or is Philly still Garbage?
If I had been fooled by a weak schedule into thinking the Flyers were pretty good this season, I would feel like such a dunce right now.
From the main boards:
"their last 10 they've beaten the Rangers x2 (without Shesterkin and Kreider)
the Bluejackets x2 (without Jones),
the Sharks,
the Panthers x2,
and the Jets.
Only the Bluejackets are a playoff team during that run and they're 1-9 since they lost Seth Jones. Their two losses are against playoff teams: Tampa Bay and NYI."
We can't beat playoff teams apparently....lol.

I was wondering if I should see if I can break my live game curse this season if I go to that game. The problem is finding someone to go with. Even if they were Sabres fans.Fun thing, I'm going to the Flyers last regular season game in Buffalo. My first NHL game since Mason won 1-0 in Philly.
And to add...while the teams I listed were not playoff teams, they were all playing for their playoff lives and were tweeners and playing desperately.Blue Jackets - 4-0-0 (8P)
Rangers - 3-0-0 (6P)
Hurricanes - 2-0-1 (5P)
Maple Leafs - 2-0-1 (5P)
Capitals - 2-0-1 (5P)
Bruins - 2-0-0 (4P)
Panthers - 2-1-0 (4P)
Penguins - 1-1-1 (3P)
Islanders - 0-2-1 (1P)
Lightning - 0-2-0 (0P)
Other than the Islanders & Lightning we’ve more than held our own this year against playoff race teams in the East. It’s a mixed bag out West but we still have yet to play our second game with some of them yet.
I honestly don’t care injuries either as basically everyone in the league can point to that excuse including us with Patrick & Lindblom having drastic uncommon injuries that have shelved them for most of the year.
Obviously this current streak is getting us attention right now but outside of this & that rough stretch around Christmas we really haven’t had a noticeable trend in either direction. We’ve just been consistently picking up points at a good clip.
Rags and Canes fans are going to war in the Skjei thread.
And that thread would that be?Ok, I went to defend Couturier on main board and was bad idea again.
Why still here are a lot of stupid fans? They should go on twitter.
What's the point of a guy that can score 40 goals if he allows 45 to get scored on his team? That's what these morons can't get through their greasy little heads.Ok, I went to defend Couturier on main board and was bad idea again.

Yes, he should win Selke this year finally. (And he should have won two years ago already too I think.)Couturier is probably gonna win the Selke. He really doesn't need defending.
Rongos fans seem to hate Skjei more than Calgary fans hate Hamilton which is pretty incredible not gonna lie.Rags and Canes fans are going to war in the Skjei thread.
This guy is the most unintentionally hilarious hockey beat writer on twitter. Practically all of his tweets are comedic gold:

Hahahahahaha. This is such a brilliant bit of self-contradiction it must make satire sites jealous.
Reminder:
Frost is too small/soft to play in the NHL this year at 6', 180 lbs
Also a reminder, Kailer Yamamoto is 5'8, 158 lbs, was drafted 5 spots above Frost, and has 22 points in 22 games this year.
Thank you for your time.
Yamamoto is also a year older than Frost, he turned 21 in September.
He played 27 games in the AHL last year, and 17 games with Edmonton where he posted 1-1 2.
This year he played 23 games in the AHL before being brought up.
So the parallel would be for Frost to start next season in the AHL, then breakout in January with the Flyers!
