So Toronto moved out Kaps but got Evan Rod who came in at 2 million? Nothing about the overall trade but was there goal to move salary? Because seems like they only cleared a small amount for Toronto?

Expiring Contract. They’d still hold his rights if they like him but he’s not going to play for 2 AAV for the Leafs.

He’ll definitely play with Crosby next year and have 60 points and someone will bump this.

I want to add that Kapanen for 15th overall is an overpay in a normal year. But in the middle of a pandemic with no idea of if and when the next season will happen? They really had to rush to do this?
