3 GWGs in 4 games for Tkachuk. Nutty. He might have the Conn Smythe locked up even if they lose at this point.

This season. But uhhhh Robertson, Hughes, Fox, Matthews…..it’s definitely close. :laugh:

Robertson is the best style comp for me, and Tkachuk hadn’t even hit 80 points at his age. I wouldn’t call him the best long-term, but he’s in the highest of high tiers with those guys.

Carolina just ran into the wrong team at the wrong time. They play above their talent, but with Svechnikov out (and Pacioretty), their lack of forward scoring was exposed. Not just scoring, but big, skilled bodies to attack the net against a hot goaltender.

Vegas is bigger and more physical than the Canes, both at forward but also on defense, and they block shots. Florida will struggle attacking the net the way they did against the Canes, and Bob will have to deal with more traffic. The one question I'd have with Vegas is age and 20+ games, but they do a good job of rolling four lines and not overworking their D-men.

The key question is whether Bob can sustain his hot run, and whether Hill is for real or a short-term fluke.

I May have allowed the moment to overcome me a bit. But I stand by what I said haha

Hughes is the only one I maybe pick about Matthew. But god damn Americans have a good roster right now

Its not that wild. Tkachuk was as good in the regular season and has been Conn Smythe level in the Playoffs. Still taking Hughes long term but its not outlandish to pick Tkachuk (other than the the biggest factor, the age gap).
