I love their gyros.
He's not the only reason. You still need to score goals. They've pretty handily outplayed Florida the whole time. And their own goaltending has actually been good. Bob is the only reason the series is where it is.
I wasn't talking to you
He's not the only reason. You still need to score goals.
When you're down 3-0 in a series mentality becomes a factor too. You need to have the absolute believe to turn it around. Then you need to make the opponent believe that too. The Panthers are flying now. Everything's going their way. They have no pressure at all.
This has been a low scoring series, but i'd say the Panthers have more offensive fire power than the Hurricanes. Verhaeghe has been clutch and Tkachuk is the 2nd best scorer of all the players left in the playoffs.Ah yeah, he is the only reason the limited number of goals they've been able to score has been sufficient.

There's also Reinhart with 7 goals. Montour has 6 goals too. Then there's Bennett and Barkov with 4 goals. That's two players. On a team vs team level Carolina has outperformed them. Bob has cancelled it out.

Bob has made the difference so far, but it's not like the Panthers couldn't outscore the Hurricanes if they had to.
Because it shows what the team can do in the playoffs. Boston and Toronto are pretty good teams too, just as good as Carolina or even better. They have scored an average of 2 goals per game in this series. This isn't theoretical. That is what the guys you're talking about have done. They've been held in check just fine. Bob has been putting on a Hasek/Parent level performance.
I have no idea why you are including performances against Boston and Toronto while discussing what is happening against CAR.

I just don't believe Carolina can just dominate every game of the series especially facing elimination in every game from now on.
Andersen can collapse too. It only takes one bad game from him and the series is over. When discussing what a team is doing in the Carolina series I'm more concerned about what they are doing against Carolina. They've outplayed Florida and they have gotten solid goaltending, limited Florida to 2 goals per game. If Bob collapses, they just have to keep doing what they have been doing already. You talk about Florida's firepower but you forget about Carolina's. Right now, Florida's firepower is Bob.

I mean, this would've been a completely different series if Jarvis doesn't hit the bar in OT in Game 1. But they couldn't bury their chances and now I think it's too late.Sure. He can. Never denied that. This all started when I asserted that Carolina has been outplaying Florida and there is potential for them to come back if Bob's bubble bursts. That remains true. Hence the series remains interesting to me.

To me it will be more interesting to see the Panthers against Vegas. Vegas plays a different game, they don't shoot from everywhere like Carolina.
Florida really isn't playing that well, xGF% (5x5 SVA) in the playoffs. There's also Reinhart with 7 goals. Montour has 6 goals too. Then there's Bennett and Barkov with 4 goals.
