I feel like these Cinderella teams get to the finals but can’t win it. But who knows. I’d love to see it

A team leaning chiefly on goaltending when they're getting outplayed through the playoffs usually has a very hard time maintaining that goaltending. The oddity is that Florida isn't a bad team getting dragged by Bob, they're still a very good team that has been dragged by Bob against a couple better opponents. The East is insanely strong.

People always bring up getting rid of bobrovsky 10 years ago like after 3 or 4 piss poor playoffs that we wouldn’t have ditched him anyways.
He was a young guy in a totally strange environment (NA) being asked to play games that he wasn’t ready for. Laviolette’s style of play always left the goaltender exposed to odd man rushes when it broke down. Instead of adjusting his schemes of play and working with Bob, Lavy threw him under the bus.

Went to a Centennial Cup cup game yesterday in Portage Manitoba . Brooks vs Ottawa in semi's and Brooks won 3-0 with 2 open netters . That being said Brooks is miles better than everyone else at the tournament and Ottawa could not create anything . They played like the Islanders

Stopped and talked with Craig Button as he is there cause TSN is broadcasting the final today . He is a great talker and full of shit with the best of them but he has great stories and is entertaining as they get .

It's Brooks { Alberta } and Battleford { Saskatchewan } in finals today .

Not sure if anyone else has said this, but it really sucks that the Panthers are going on their big run the year AFTER G was traded there.
Didn't he have the opportunity to sign with them? If he really wanted that Cup, he should've signed a short term deal with the Panthers.

I'm glad he didn't want to become another Joe Thornton though, desperately chasing a Cup win. He's where he wants to be now. Maybe he doesn't get the opportunity to play with Matt Tkachuk, but he still has Brady.

Florida’s gonna have to find other ways to win soon as the bubble might/probably burst with Bob.

In some ways, winning in 4 and then having a long wait til the final, could be the worst thing for Florida. If Bob was to go cold and regress to his average, the Panthers will have a hard time with whomever wins the West.

If I’m a Cats fan, I’m hoping for a win in 6.

His last 7 games have been insane. 6 of their last 7 wins have been one score games. Even the 1 loss in there was a one score game. So he’s keeping the margin to win so low for them right now.

This is basically a dream final 4 for me. I truly am at peace with anyone winning, and I love the hockey they all play.

Dallas was generally playing poorly hanging into their lead, but that was an awful sequence by Suter leading to the tying goal. Not only a lazy pass to nobody behind his own net but then he plays turnstile defending the slot.

Veteran presents. Gift that keeps on giving.

Eichel having a nice first playoff despite the narratives around him over the years has been fun to watch.

I think that was a good move for both teams with that trade. Buffalo mitigated the loss of Eichel with Tuch but other young players there took big steps there this year which really changed things there.
