I know a dude who got a sports management degree and did eventually get into pro sports, and Florida years ago was such a massive debacle that they were just flat-out taught "don't work for the Panthers. Never do that." It was apparently a misery factory for everyone involved that professors felt it was best to teach their students not to work there.
