I wonder what Hart’s value would be? I’m of the opinion that goalies aren’t as valuable as we think. I believe they are often propped up by strong defensive systems. They are kinda like the running backs of the NHL

I think given his age and what he has shown in past Hart should have more value than most

A couple of kids with good upside/late 1st + prospect potentially as range for him

That is why I think Kings would be good target they can afford to move a pick and good prospect like they did for Fiala to build into contender going forward

Stability in net of adding 24 yr old Carter Hart would be great for Kings going forward. Korpisalo after initial good start faltered in playoffs

The Kings would be a good spot for Hart, they have a lot of prospects who need to have room made for them. Kaliyev, Spence, Fagemo. Problem is these guys are 23, and the Flyers should be looking at guys who are 20, and the Kings 1st round pick isn’t until next year.

I would love to be wrong but I don’t think Hart goes for that much. I would hope for a 1st or a 1st equivalent. We would have to take a dump back as well I’d think. I have the feeling most teams realize it’s not smart to overpay for a goalie whether in a trade or contract wise. We just saw Ullmark and Swayman tear up the league and I’m a little skeptical they are the best goalies in the league. It’s worth overpaying a Lundquist or Price type goalie, not someone a few tiers down. I’d think teams would bargain bin shop before shelling out for Hart. Unless you are a top tier goalie, the position is too streaky and dependent on team defense to heavily invest in the position

They also saw the Avalanche give up a 1st for Kuemper as a pending UFA. Goaltenders of Hart’s caliber don’t really become available, and even at his number, because goaltenders who become available often do because they’ve played their way to a lower value.
