I just saw this on another forum and I know I can't be reading this right. Is it saying that, of all people, Radko Gudas has the highest chance to be on the ice when his team scores a goal? Or is it the other way and he's most likely to be scored on? If it's the 1st option then I don't believe in reality anymore.

The Panthers had better quality of scoring chances with him on the ice at 5v5.
Gudas has always been an analytic darling despite having other traits that hockey guys usually gravitate towards.

Gudas is an analytic darling for the same reason Seeler had nice metrics this year.
Sheltering a player can make them look better than they actually are, which is why usage should be considered when looking at metrics.
Gudas has been a 3rd pair D-man at every stop, if he was really as good as his metrics, he'd be playing 20+ minutes a night.

Ghost only needs a single touch to get the puck moving up ice, into the Devils zone, which leads to a NJ icing. Instant pressure relief. That is vastly more effective defense than what the Flyers value.
