There's a main board thread saying Petry has been awful for Detroit and has been benched. He'll be 36 in December and still has a year left after this one at $2,343,750. Their defense is surprisingly old for a team that's supposed to be rising, but they have no contracts that go longer than 25-26.

Water under the bridge, Holmgren, Hextall and Fletcher are long gone.
Decisions going forward should be made independent of sunk costs.

Once more..if Makar was on the Flyers he would be nothing like he is now
I wouldn't even want a dinosaur in charge of the ice crew. Their lack of attention to detail is appalling.
