Colorado was the better team. But not when the Kraken actually tried to attack. Things were pretty even then...that's familiar. If Hak doesn't have an epiphany and realize they should do that all the time, it would take Georgiev choking or Grubaeuerur going nuts for them to move on.

I don't know man. I watched the Seattle feed of the Avalanche/Kraken game and Ed Olczyk was pretty insufferable. I don't know if he ever referred to a player by their last name. The entire time he was talking about "Yanni this" and "Grubby that". There's also apparently somebody whose nickname is "Big Rig", but I have absolutely no idea who that might be, because as I mentioned earlier, Olczyk is too lazy to use anybody's full name.

Since the Flyers are a decade of irrelevancy, looking at another 5+ years of this same shit, one has to start inventing things to be happy about in the NHL. Leafs losing in spectacular fashion in the first game makes me extremely happy.

Not only does the NHL's cockiest media + fanbase go completely silent after so much reg season hype, but the fact that Luke Fox and the other Leafsnet ppl wrote multiple articles during the reg season on Michael Bunting and how he's living rent free in the heads of Bolts players, only to see him crush any hopes of a Leafs comeback with that brain fart of a move. Too bad the Rags won, but the image of Keefe looking constipated and sad after that Bunting thing was icing on the cake.

Just had a chance to check scores/highlights/key plays.

1) Jesus, Bunting is such a daft player. All the chances to earn huge contract playing w Matthews/Marner, but has 3 brain cells, that don't even function simultaneouslty, but one a the time. I don't feel sorry for Toronto AT ALL, especially after all the f*ing whining about MacCauley (spelling?) and the conflict of interest re: his brother-in-law, even tho Leafs are (were) 5-0-1 w him as a ref.

2) I hope NJD rebounds at at least makes it an exciting series.

3) VGK-WPG will be really conflicting series for me. VGK has Blueger, but I don't want an expansion franchise to have such success so early. WPG has some really exciting players who deserve more (Hellbuyck, can't be arsed to find the spelling), but Wheeler/Scheifele can go to hell. Oh well.
