I am here to discuss hockey. If you want to double down on that comment which does nothing to advance the discussion, don't bother. If you think dumping Schenn for picks and an overpaid guy who can't play good on you.

Oh I’m sorry. I forgot this was a place for hockey. Schenn looked good tonight,yes. Did couts not look good tonight? Also let’s not pretend the Penguins have anything resembling a great defense. Let’s not pretend that schenn was stellar last year for our team while we are at it. We were terrible at 5v5 and schenn did nothing to change that fact. Scheener played one good game and people claim to “know” it was a terrible trade. Small sample size. Let’s rehash this conversation at the quarter mark if the season to see how his performance has been.

And I love when people say “picks” neglecting the fact they were both first round draft picks. One top 10 protected but still a very good pick in a deeper draft this year. Lehtera was a dump in because of cap. He won’t have any impact on us signing anyone down the road.

I might as well steal this from our GDT:

Couts positioning caused Talbot to pass it right to Voracek instead of around the boards.
Couts also had 6 of the 31 shots...19% of the team's totals.
Couts also had 4 of the 21 hits...19% of the team's totals.
Also had an assist and was +2.....on the only 2 ES goals we scored on the night.
And 50% in FO.

How anyone could watch Schenn and Couts the last few years and want Schenn, is beyond me. Oh wait, we did a poll where the masses had their say....and Schenn got stomped!

Honestly, I can't see complaining about keeping Coots over Schenn at least at this point.
