Berglund and McDonald. Can't part with core pieces like that.
It’s scary that these were the exact two names that popped in my head when I saw that post.

LolJiricek just turned 21 and is in the AHL. That's not the profile of an elite prospect.
He's in his 3rd ELC season and in the AHL. So that doesn't have much value for Minnesota.Just another time to mention how ELC’s are important and that incompetent organizations tend to do incompetent things.

They're going to have to pay more than they want or risk an offer sheet if they play him 30 games or more this season - and if they leave him in the AHL he's going to be disgruntled, just like in CBJ.
A team can offer $2.29MM to $4.58MM (a little higher next season) for 2nd rd pick compensation.
It’s not the “same problem.” It’s a material difference between someone like him and Drysdale. My bad, they can slide one season, thought AHL counted as a "pro league."
Still, same problem, they're going to have to pay him as a RFA in 2026-27, and given what they traded for him, will have to pay at least the 2nd rd comp rate. Given how pushy his people are they won't let him sign a bargain basement deal.
And not sure how long they can stash him in the AHL before he pulls the same stuff he did in CBJ.
He wants to be in the top four and on PP1. That ain't happening for a while in Minnesota.

But all of this was true when you first got your sphincter to formulate words on the subject. Youre just wrong. Everything I’ve said on the matter is objectively accurate before, during and after the tradeCheck their injury log.
Brodin is out.
Faber and Spurgeon are their top two RHD
Brodin and Middleton are set at LHD.
Spurgeon, Faber and Chisholm are on the PP1, PP2.
Chisholm and Merrill are the options at 3LHD.
Buium should replace them next season.
Jiricek is competing with Bogosian for PT as 3RHD.
Lambos LHD (#26-2021) hasn't shown much in the AHL. Neither has O'Rourke LHD (#39-2020).
They lacked RHD prospects with Spurgeon aging.
Which probably explains the trade, Jiricek was better than what they expected to be available late in the 1st rd.
What I want to know is who they asked for from Briere, if they settled on Hunt? I had no idea who he was. Looked him up. Still don't know. They asked Briere for a top prospect, but settled on that one guy? This is scary any way you slice it
I've got over 500 users on ignore and it's made hf so much more tolerable.God it got so much less exhausting around here when I decided to not see particular posts anymore

Danny is just a flat out terrible GM. its as simple as that. He sucks at everything. There's nothing he does well.
For us Ignorgeniuses, this is like Jeopardy! But all of this was true when you first got your sphincter to formulate words on the subject. Youre just wrong. Everything I’ve said on the matter is objectively accurate before, during and after the trade
Just in case any of you have been on the fence about getting it due to cost...
