While Fletcher was throwing away millions on Angelo in summer 2022, the Caps signed Dylan Strome to a 1 year deal at $3.5m. Since then he has scored 141 points in 169 games and won 51% of his 2,505 faceoffs. And he's currently in the 2nd year of a 5 x $5m deal at age 27.

God the Flyers are a dumb team.

arent we still paying the racist NOT to play here ?

🤣🤣

When I think of Ghost...it's just mind blowing they paid to get rid of him all while adding Gus, Yandle, ADA, and now Drysdale in an attempt to replicate what they already had. And so far have failed.

Oh...and it has cost us #5 overall pick in Gauthier, 2nd, a 3rd and a 4th. (2 other 2nds cancel each other out)

Great asset mgt. Stupid Hextall.

Holmgren's fingerprints.

He hired CF, and was probably (along with Clarke) behind hiring AV - they're not giving him a 5x5 contract if Holmgren doesn't green light the move.

AV wanted Voracek and Ghost gone, with that contract, and the best finish in a decade, he had the leverage to get his way.

Holmgren brought in Bill Zito to be interviewed who he knew through USA hockey. Fletcher worked for Clarke. Not hard to figure out who pushed for Fletcher to be hired.

League worst PP since they booted out Voracek and Ghost because they clashed with AV.

Kind of a crazy stat - the Flyers are only up 77 goals on the PP since the start of the 21-22 season. 103 goals scored and 26 SHG allowed. The next worst team is Montreal and they are up 94 goals!

Could argue it started the chain of events that cost us drafting Buium too (we don't need Buium, we already have Drysdale!)

Worst Flyers trade of the last 2 decades when you account for the ripples it caused, pretty easily.

Still Holmgren's decision. He was the President.

Doubt Drysdale had anything to do with not drafting Buium.
For one thing, Buium is a LHD where they're much thinner than RHD.

Thinner on the right side. Saneheim is playing his off side. Perect world you have him, York, Seeler on the Left.

Right side is barren really. Risto, JD, and ?????
Sanheim made it clear he prefers the right side, once he got used to it.
Some players prefer their off side (Giroux for example).

"Sanheim has said that the switch has helped him see the ice better in the offensive zone."

I think if Attard had stepped up, they would have figured out how to get him into the lineup, but it's pretty obvious they don't trust him defensively.

Friedman said he bet that sequence got all the nipples hard in the Detroit management suite.
Should have hit with the "too small"
