Probably wants to play when their team is better? Also maybe to avoid the AHL.

He’s probably good enough to play for them next year right now.

Cooley his teammate both at the US Program & Minnesota did the same thing & ultimately signed later. So not sure if it’s leverage tactic or not. Gauthier obviously played with both at the US Program too & he was apparently asking for assurances from the Flyers to get his signature.

Capitals losing to Buffalo 3-2
Islanders losing to the Blackhawks at home, 1-0
Penguins losing to New Jersey 3-1, Devils can jump them.

Unbelievable. No one can put anything together unless they're going to hold another team back from catching the Flyers.
That Florida pick also looking better and better.

None of these teams ^ deserve the playoffs though. They are farting and shitting their way to the finish line, save maybe, the Caps. But if you look at their entire season in totality, and where they are roster wise, their presence in the playoffs is wholly pointless.

To be fair to Isles they are playing good tonight but Mrazek is so far proving issue

26-14 shots in favor of Isles after 2 and Isles all over Hawks outside of like a 2–3-minute stretch yet its 1-0 Hawks

Florida is better off holding back and playing Toronto than winning the divsion and playing Tampa Bay

Horvat finally scores.

Penguins are back up 5-3. With a win they move to 3 points out of the playoffs, and still get to play the Capitals, Red Wings, and Islanders.

If the Penguins win their next game, they will be tied in GP with the Flyers and only 2 points back. And to think everyone wrote them off.
Basically because everyone else refused to let them die.

Would be hilarious though

Islanders win the second half of a back to back for the first time this season. They are 1 point out of the playoffs. 2 back of the Flyers.

Next play Columbus on Thursday.

Sure St Ivany scored his first point. But he's no Erik Johnson, who would look out of place even in Ahl by now.
