None of the other teams chasing them have shown any ability to put anything together. The Flyers probably get in by default.

I’m a bit skeptical Rantanen knows the Flyers draft board rankings. There were definitely reports they had him on the short list. But they assuredly just ranked Provorov higher for the boring reasons that were Hextall hallmarks.

Rantanen was a guest on Timonen’s podcast and said that he was almost drafted by Philly and had three interviews with them but after some consideration, Philly decided to draft for need.

Rantanen vs Provorov was the debate most of that spring leading up to the Draft. I won't pretend I was upset with the Provorov pick, but I did have Rantanen as my #1 hope at 7 with Provorov as #2.

Oh man putting me on the spot. I’ve only caught a handful of games over the last two seasons. He seemed to be always putting up points but I never keyed in on him. I’m always trying to reverse jinxSotheren and wishing we drafted Cagnoni.

I agree 100%. Plain number and these are a 10/10, but I still give them a 9.5. They are beautiful
