Hoping we can ice a third line with Sunny, Freddy and Nyqvist to match against that first Star line. Sunny has been effective in that role on a cup winning team and I think this is the way
It could maybe still happen, some great news here.

Faber getting playoff starts this early is insane given the FO's MO. I really think the sky is the limit for this kid. I think sometimes we underestimate a guy's ceiling too because he has a high floor. He can get a lot better.

Also I should say I love the decision to let faber show what he’s got for real. Kid is awesome. Great news on Ek too

People always bitched and complained when yeoman would try to change lines saying "how are players supposed to develop chemistry" now dean takes that route and people bitch and give him a cringe nickname do nothing dean.

Just gotta understand people are going to bitch no matter what.

You know, both have their time and place, right?
Yes, keep lines to build chemistry and if things go well, keep it up.
When the season is on the line, and what you've been rolling clearly isn't working because the opposition has exposed weaknesses in the setup, why do nothing in response and keep banging your head against the wall just because you had success a month ago with it?

A good coach knows his options, knows who can play with who, and can find combos on the fly with the season on the line.

That's why the best coaches prove themselves in the post season, while others get exposed.

Huge news in Ek skating. Wasnt it this week they were saying he “isn’t even close”?

Stars remind me of our team from last year a bit, and supposedly we’re better built for the playoffs RE: size, should he interesting.
Ek out and goaltending will be the difference.

Wild win in 7.

I just had this inkling he’d be back sooner than later. Guy is a fighter

I want Gus to start Game 1. But after weeks of hearing about it nearly everyday, someone is making me almost.....almost want it to be Fleury just to see how high the flames reach from the massive explosion. Might be a freak out that would rival Avder from back in the day. ;);)

I'm ready for chaos.

Like i said before if they start Crappie èveryone in this forum knows the outcome. Play Gus no rotation. When Crappie has his chance hopefully he finds something.

I don't know why but I did not realize how the rest of the league thinks we are one of the dirtiest teams in the NHL. When exactly did we go from "most boring," to "most dirty?"

I understand it in a sense of being tough to play against and having one of the premiere tough guys in the league in Reaves, but I don't see the out and out dirty claim.

In any case at least people look forward to our series now instead of calling us boring to watch.

Because he has new pads.... I guess....?
When I get new pads that usually means I'm about to do something special.

Like go outside my bubble...

Please start Gus.

I wouldn't say "the rest of the league" does... just a couple teams fans. Didn't help with Foligno losing his shit multiple times last year.

We've had our fair share of incidents. Foligno and Hartman are hot heads who have done a a lot of questionable things. I don't recall Reeves doing anything anything dirty, but he's an enforcer.

Greenway had a number of borderline hits, espiecially with goalies. Those will still be associated with the wild.

One of the Dewey's had a bad hit this year. Don't recall which.

Spurgeon is one of the cleanest players in the league, but had a bad moment last year where he tried to break some legs...

I get it.

So anyone working on GDT ideas?

I got life stuff going on so I won't be doing them.

Agree with all of this, but also want to add that Fiala also delivered a couple of bad hits last year. There's good reason people view the Wild that way right now. Most of the players are clean, but they definitely haven't all been angels.

Forgot about Fiala.

But ya, there hasn't been any overt head hunting.

But if the opportunity is there, they take it.

Hartman's suspension is a perfect example. He had the puck, passed it off and than stopped and prepped to hit because he saw Ehlers was on a bee line.

You can plausibly make the argument that Hartman is entitled to the ice... but literally the only reason you stop there is to blow Ehlers up.

It was a bad hit, with a clean check. It was dirty.
