Lines today.....not to beat a dead horse, but Trenin gets moved up, and........we're just gonna keep going with what hasn't worked?
Now Rossi gets to deal with Mojo on the 3rd line. Make it make sense.

Still no explanation why they keep their best scorer behind kap away from the 1C spot, which he kinda earned with his play so far this season.Freddy line is #3, Rossi line is #2. He (the writer) just put it this way. There's zero chance Treniyawn plays in the 2d, and Johansson is always in the 2d.
Yeah when they can't score (0 @ Sens) they need to put the guys who had success together on the top line, the last time Kap was out. Eriksson Ek at 0.62 PPG really isn't a top line center, he works better on the 2nd.Still no explanation why they keep their best scorer behind kap away from the 1C spot, which he kinda earned with his play so far this season.
Personally, I think the plan was to try and get Eriksson Ek going last game. Rossi has shown chemistry with Foligno in the past.I never said that the lines couldn't be changed. All I said is that the starting point should be to put the 2 best offensive players together, and go from there. Unless they are McDavid/Draisaitl or MacKinnon/Rantanen, I think you risk neutering both of them much more than a prospective "spreading the wealth" benefit. Obviously if the line sucks, or the team sucks, you can adapt.
There is a reason, and what I think is a very compelling reason, why other teams in the league don't jump at the chance to play their best offensive center with guys pacing 31 and 18 points, respectively. At least I don't think so, I guess I haven't looked around the league too much lately.
Whats that chemestry between Rossi & Foligno BS about, are their stats that prove that statement?Rossi has shown chemistry with Foligno in the past.
Yes.Whats that chemestry between Rossi & Foligno BS about, are their stats that prove that statement?
When did this happen? I've watched the Wild closely the past few years and I can't recall that Foligno & Rossi ever had the slightest chemestry. Foligno was used as Rossis physical bodyguard in his Rookie season, yes. But I can't say that Foligno ever had a positive impact on Rossis game.
Now Foligno has lost another step this season, it's ridiculous that they still try to ride a dead horse when they put those two onto one line when Rossi has clearly earned the 1C spot this season. It makes no sense to play the second best scorer on the team with scrubs to get others going.
I’m not sure you said a single factual thing in this entire post. Quite impressive.Whats that chemestry between Rossi & Foligno BS about, are their stats that prove that statement?

Bettman weighed in Thursday, making it clear that he thinks the Wild deserve public money because of what they and the arena do for downtown St. Paul, the surrounding community and the state.
“This building is what, 25 years old now?” Bettman said. “It was designed very well for hockey, but it’s no longer state-of-the-art. It needs a refresh. I’m also mindful of the fact that the other three major sports teams have all gotten stadiums or upgrades with a public-private partnership. Craig obviously is prepared to participate. The Wild are.
“He is a fan of and committed to St Paul. Though he probably has options, he’s not exploring them because this is where he wants to be and he wants the team to be, and he’s been committed to St Paul for every breathing moment that he’s owned the team.”
You mean the part where our GM doesn’t understand how the cap works?I really hope we're not in trouble with that % of the cap talk. I read it 3 times, and each time I'm hoping I misread it.
That's rich coming from Bettman after he spent decades doing the opposite of threatening the Yotes. He even let them play in a 5000 seat college arena. Good grief. He can go pound sand.wild-bettman-xcel-energy-center-renovations-funding
Interesting threat from Bettman on his way out the door, considering one of the first things he oversaw when he became commissioner was the North Stars relocation to Dallas.
Obviously I don't believe the Wild will relocate, this is just a ploy, and they'll figure something out at the Xcel. It's just not a great way to endear yourself to the fans. But then, he's always been a tool.
the Yotes.
I'm a little lost. What's wrong with the Yotes?I think you're just trying to pick fights with me today after I said I generally like Hartman lol
I'm a little lost. What's wrong with the Yotes?
Got it.I have a few Yotes jerseys hanging in the closet, living in Arizona I adopted them as my second team, I went to the games and had season tickets. Not happy that they left.
He’s not saying anything Leipold doesn’t want him to.That's rich coming from Bettman after he spent decades doing the opposite of threatening the Yotes. He even let them play in a 5000 seat college arena. Good grief. He can go pound sand.

That's a great way for him to get the Norm Green treatment. He’s not saying anything Leipold doesn’t want him to.
He understands how it works. He probably doesn't think Kaprizov deserves more than McDavid, MacKinnon and Draisaitl just because the cap went up.You mean the part where our GM doesn’t understand how the cap works?
I might not deserve to make more than somebody working in the 70’s and yet I do.He understands how it works. He probably doesn't think Kaprizov deserves more than McDavid, MacKinnon and Draisaitl just because the cap went up.
So to you 50 years is comparable to 1 or 2 years?Expected. Get to double digits before you get to high double digits.
