Dean Evason is a great coach for an underdog team. Keeps them fighting. Just comparing the Jackets schedule over the next 15 with the Rangers. Columbus has 2 against Florida, 2 against Jersey, 2 against Detroit, Dallas, Vegas as well and Rangers have 3 against NYI, 2 against Pens, Nashville, Buffalo, Boston in there.

And the two teams play each other 3 times in that span.

Jackets are the Cinderella story, but I think that Disney would like to the story to end with a Rangers playoff appearance. On the other hand Jackets and Senators play 3 times in 11 games at the end of the season and those could be playoff position battles, if Detroit or Tampa pushes past the Sens.

That series would be good, but why would it funny.?

Because the Leafs of the past decade are known for failing or choking in the first round and they'd be battling against the Sens who, back then, had some awful performances in the playoffs too... against Toronto.

Plus, it'd be another first round series where the Leafs would be at risk of choking since they'd easily be the favorites. Although, I'll admit that if the Sens got back Ullmark at 100%, it might not be a complete upset if they beat the Leafs in a series.

Gudbranson is a leader in the locker room and is one of the only physical forces on the D. Not to mention he played a huge role on the PK, he may not be a cornerstone piece but he's a role player whom we don't have a replacement for on the roster.
