Drop pass like now to Kaprizov but have a guy making in soccer terms "a shadow striker" run towards one of the flanks when their check moves in on the first pass. Eventually coaches will start to accept that as a possibility, so you can keep running that play but don't have to make the second pass each time.

Would be easier to explain visually but, eh, it's not a move unheard of.

We got a guy named Trenin on the team. He's here for 4 more years. I know it's not easy to remember him because he doesn't do anything at all.

Not to be disrespectful, but Ek is just not a top line center this season. The Kaprizov-Eriksson Ek-Boldy thing needs to be done for now.

Gotta agree, and i say that as one of Ek's biggest fans. Go with what works right now. Kap and Rossi have something, so roll with it.

Totally agreed. Aside from very occasional moments of brilliance, that line simply isn't on the same wavelength right now.
 
Ek is probably my favorite hockey player of all time and there is something wrong with him. I wish they would address it and if he needs some time take it. We need a healthy Ek to make any noise in the playoffs

I’d roll with that until Zucc is back. Mojo playing well lately and his speed and zone entry ability help Kap & Rossi.

Something certainly seems off with him lately ever since he missed some time earlier in the season. And yes, we NEED a healthy Ek if we make the playoffs.
 
I think Ek is hurt. Wrist or hand injury. Seems to have trouble with the puck. Skating seems fine but the hands are not there

Maybe zucc should bring the wild a cup , after all he’s being gifted career numbers playing with hart caliber talent

There was a huge dent in the cup, it saved him from starting a career as a tenor.

Players use the abdo guard with cup protection, few if any are dumb enough to play without one.

Yeah, they are definitely making his life easier in terms of shot quality and rebound clears. I think it's a bit of him playing better because he trusts them to clean up the garbage, and them playing better because they trust him to make the initial saves.
