No way would I start Samsonov tomorrow. I'm not sure what's wrong with him but I can't remember seeing a goalie so out of sync before. He has some issues that won't be solved by throwing him to the wolves tomorrow.

I don't think Keefe disagrees I just think this is about getting Bertuzzi comfortable and confident and finding his game. Put him on our top line, give him top minutes, PP time, let him find his groove. Then you can move things around a bit more.

Same with Klingberg, put him where he is comfortable on PP1, give him lots of minutes and play him to his strengths. If after 20 games other lines are struggling or things need to be moved they will be. Keefe has never been shy about mixing things up. If anything his critics might say he does that too much

Disagree he needs to just find his rhytm and he will be playing.

I am not saying this is you, but so many have this vendeta against Samsonov as if he is this terrible goalie. He has had really bad games and even stretches but also elite stretches. He finished as a legit starter in the league and was solid against Tampa. Made the saves when we needed them despite being so hurt he couldn't lift his arm above his head.

Give him time he is good.

At the same time it would be cool seeing Matthews score 70 goals
 
I can see Samsonov getting the start but I’d personally go with Woll. Give both goalies a chance and run with the hotter hand.
 
The Wild are going to be a tough win. Two very good offensive lines, (watch out for Boldy) also they now have Maroon the goon. Might see him go with Reaves. Good structure and D

Good goalies. We’ll need to play better than last game to win.

Which one did you not like? The breakaway cough up by Brodie? The breakaway cough up by Lillypad? The deflection off of Brodie and in? The deflection off newhook? The clearcut tap in on a 3 on 1?

I'm not talking about the goals allowed. Did you even watch him out there? He was totally lost in his positioning and style the entire game. I watch more than just the goals scored when I watch a game.
 
Watching the Reaves and Klingberg interviews for this game they were both hyping up Boldy very much. Going to have to keep him in check in addition to Kaprizov of course.

Also, don't care about you Reaves haters crying he makes slightly over a million, this guys personality is exactly what this team needs. Our team is full of PR trained robots so having a personable guy like him who can go throw the body and protects the skill guys and take some of the heat off them is just so important

I think in time (as in, this season) Knies will be a fixture on the top line while Bertuzzi will end up on the 3rd. Domi's probably a safe bet to stay in the top 6.

It’s the first game of the year, and it was an atrocious game by our defence. Kind of hard to be in perfect position when they cough the puck up every 22 seconds.
