That was Jones not WerenskiNot for anything, but isn't Elvis...a bit of a head case? And so is Werenski and his whole political beliefs?

Let me get this straight: assuming 3rds cancel each other out, you are saying that a 25-point bottom-6 forward is worth roughly the same as 1st, 2nd, 4th and a B-grade prospect? Are you for real? Or would you say just about anything to stick to your narrative?
Even if you value that kind of player really highly, it's a 2nd round pick. For reference see Malenstyn trade. First and third though?? What evidence is there anyone would ever pay anywhere close to that for that kind of player?
Acting like Mailloux isn't quality is bonkers. And Guhle has done just fine on RD.Only "quality" young RD they have is Reinbacher.
We should maybe be more careful about continually saying "bottom of the 1st round".I'm wondering why some fans expect a young RD prospect who still needs to grow into his body to be proficient at age 20? As most of us know, it requires longer for defensemen to develop than forwards and thus patience is key.
No guarantee that Jiricek lives up to his draft position, but I would rather give up a few picks and grab this kid then draft another prospect somewhere near the bottom of the 1st round this season and cross my fingers.

Nobody is expecting that. People expect to see progress though. 3 years ago Jiricek came over after playing against men, despite his young age, in the Czech league. He did good there and he did good in the AHL after coming over. The feeling was he is almost good enough to play in the NHL. However, 2 years later, he is still almost good enough to play in the NHL. Back then, it was a positive. Now, it's a concern.I'm wondering why some fans expect a young RD prospect who still needs to grow into his body to be proficient at age 20?

We will see. He has all the tools. And he has size. He will never be Brodin at skating. If he becomes a 2nd pairing D who also sees PP time for his shot...that is an excellent trade.Nobody is expecting that. That’s why we’ve ended up at this point though. Because it does take time. Time that Jiricek and his agent seem to think isn’t going to be required for him to become the best possible version of an NHL Dman.I'm wondering why some fans expect a young RD prospect who still needs to grow into his body to be proficient at age 20? Exactly. It will be the 32nd pick, eventually. We should maybe be more careful about continually saying "bottom of the 1st round".
It's been 3 weeks since the trade roughly.
How are we feeling so far (both sides)
He's yet to make it to a NHL game.I don't think feelings from Wild fans have changed much, but almost immediately after the trade our LD depth was depleted, so Hunt would have come in handy for that
I hope CBJ fans are feeling more optimistic about Hunt
