Khusnutdinov seems like a guy who could b more than the 4c minny was using him as.

edit: wow some minny fans are not too high on him. looked good in the games againt DRW this year and looked good going into the draft
I believe the Wild are gonna regret this trade in 3 years. He’s looked better recently, although apparently some people had higher hopes of him being able to produce offensively with linemates of Devin Shore and Ben Jones.

He's a 22 years old rookie and can handle 190 feet of the ice. The offense isn't quite there, that doesn't mean it won't come.

I see more offensive instincts in him than I did JEE at the same age.

I don't think he'd ever be a 1st liner, solid 3rd liner or capable 2nd liner is far from out of the question.

So they are trying to replace JEE on the PP.
JEE had a good shot right out of the draft, Khusnutdinov has no shot to speak of and that will hinder him in the NHL greatly when it comes to production. Without being a shooting threat at all, his playmaking options get shut down, and despite his speed and puck control, he has difficulty getting to the front and winning battles, likely due to his diminutive frame. At the moment, he is in need of significant development and the upside just doesn't significantly help the Wild this season, or likely the next two after that when the main window is open.

I have to assume this means Minnesota are confident that Kaprizov and Ek are back for playoffs at the latest?

I don't like this for Minnesota. Khusnutdinov stands out to me when I watch him. Good in transition, works hard, good hands at times.

Brazeau hasn't blown me away when I've watched the Bruins, but admittedly I have only seen a couple of games of each and then a bunch of 10 minute highlight packages for each, so I could be wrong.

But this stands out as a bit of a swing and a miss for Minnesota to me.

Not a huge trade, but Bruins win this one. Brazeau is big 6'5", has good hands in close to the net, but that is about it, he is very slow and for a big guy he is not at all physical. I would have been happy just getting the 6th Rd picks, Lauko is an energy guy for the 4th line and Marat does have some potential.

If I'm reading waiver rules correctly, if he plays 7 NHL games he's now eligible for waivers.

If that's the case, I can't see him playing ANY NHL time this season and for our management to keep those 7 games as flexibility for next season.

Is Brazeau like an elite PKer or something? Trying to rationalize this. Not cap related, they all make crap and Marat can be buried.

Only thing I can think of is PK improvement
brazeau is good at is scoring in tight. He is a giant that can play a possession game too. I actually like Lauko better though.

It’s a meh trade. Khus and Lauko will never be top 6 guys. It’s not robbery if all you get back are 4th line guys. 2 useless twats for 1. Who cares.
A keyboard warrior calls three guys who make three quarters of a million dollars a year playing a game a bunch of "useless twats". A game that we all love and one that the vast majority of us gladly pay something to play.

Seriously, can't make this shit up.

Well they aren't very good NHLers atm and they wouldn't be good at much if they weren't playing a game. Not sure what their salary has to do with making them not useless, or that you'd pay to play hockey.

I guess I don't get the outrage and defending their honour, I feel like as pro's their skin is thick enough not be bothered by it or need/want an anonymous guy to be their white knight.

He was easily the softest on a team that also has guys like Carlo and Zacha imo.
No chance. He did not fight or start scrums but he was willing to hit and hit hard. One of the few Bruins who do along with Zadorov and Kastelic.

This narrative needs to end.

Slow? Yes.
Bottom 6 depth? Absolutely.
Trade value? Apparently, although the 6th round pick alone is what we likely anticipated.

Not saying they are great players. That said, you know f*** all about whether they are qualified to do "much" if they didn't play hockey.

Just laughing a some dude who calls three guys "useless twats" while he's typing on his keyboard - probably in mom's basement.

If you don't see the funny part of that, my guess is you sure aren't making $750K doing whatever it is you do.

I doubt you do either, which is why it's funny that you're worshiping them for it and getting some kind of self confidence boost out of how much money they (not you) make.

I know you don't make 750K for getting upset and defending the honor of hockey players you don't know on an anonymous message board, because some other anonymous guy made a crack at their expense. That's also quite funny IMO. If you don't see what's funny about that, well, everyone's sense of humor is different!

Come on man, Brazeau wasn't anywhere near as physical as Zadorov or Kastelic, just stop it.

Wow......... 🤣

Some rando on a hockey board calls guys he doesn't know from Adam "useless twats".

I call him out on that. Because it's unnecessary, ignorant, and stupid. Common theme in our social media world, sadly.

You then respond by equating that to me somehow "worshiping them"?

Maybe I'm wrong????? Maybe the world really is full of useless twats. Take that however you please.

Plant Brazeau in front of the net on PP2, I’d say that’s probably the thing he does best. Really good hands for a big fella. Can block out the sun with his frame, sucks for goalies.

As mentioned in here before he can’t skate

Come on man, Brazeau wasn't anywhere near as physical as Zadorov or Kastelic, just stop it.
No one said that. Obviously there was a major drop off after those two....

But if you watch his shifts you would see his effort to finish hits rather than pulling up as every other Bruin such as Zacha, Coyle, etc does.

One of his hits was easily as impactful as 10 Frederic hits if you ask any of the defenseman being forechecked. Guaranteed.

Brazeau should have been the 10th most physical forward but he was easily at the top of the list for whatever it is worth.

Brazeau, you want to like him...you really do...and then he does nothing. While such an insignificant trade in the scheme of things, the Bruins received 1) a player they're familiar with with great fourth line energy that the fans love, 2) a lottery ticket on a smallish center with skills, and 3) a sixth round pick which, by itself, may actually be an overpayment for a player who was acquired for free and who likely walked at the end of the season. Massive win for the Bruins on a completely insignificant trade. Like getting three chances to win something and if you don't win it really didn't cost anything to play. That said, I wish Brazeau well.
